Job Description
Casuistry is a method of moral reasoning pioneered by Jesuit thinkers beginning with St. Ignatius 500 years ago which asks one to “Set aside principles. Descend into the particulars”. This is not about abandoning your principles. Instead it pushes on the order in which you call your principles into the reasoning process. Approach the problem as its own unique situation that requires your attention and care.
In the Mercury product world instead of starting with a general rule or philosophy that guides the way a PM investigates a problem we push to find out exactly what is going on in the life and heart and mind of a customer in order to truly understand the nature of the problems they are facing.
Mercury is a collection of incredibly helpful creative humble humans working together to defy expectations and reimagine banking. We do so with a focus on building high-craft simple and powerful product experiences.
And our Expansion team is building the newest product lines for our fast growing customers who are facing challenges with the increased scale and complexity of their business operations. These teams not only need to launch zero-to-one products but also build strong businesses from those initial offerings. We are obsessively focused on delivering a high quality end-to-end experience and believe Mercury should be magical from day one whether running a single e-commerce side hustle or scaling a unicorn tech company.
We are looking for Senior Product Managers who can build with a high bar for quality while still executing with precision. In this role you’ll be responsible for deeply understanding your customers designing how your product area interacts with and impacts the other Mercury products and end-to-end system and driving towards the overarching business and financial goals.
*Mercury is a financial technology company not a bank. Banking services provided by Choice Financial Group and Evolve Bank & Trust Members FDIC.
