SUMMARY:
You will collaborate with the Brand Team to develop the HCP and Consumer strategies, execute on aligned activities in collaboration with our alliance partner. You are responsible for driving HCP engagement and utilization of the Abilify LAI (Long Acting Injectable) Franchise through development of promotional tactics and initiatives for the sales force. In addition, the incumbent will manage and drive development and implementation of the Consumer strategy while actively collaborating with the Brand team, cross functional partners, and alliance partner in execution of tactics.
You will execute HCP and Consumer initiatives / resources through influencing Lundbeck cross functional partners and alliance colleagues. In this role it will be important to proactively engage cross-functional stakeholders including medical, sales ops, digital transformation, market research, analytics, sales training, and field sales leadership. As the successful candidate you are also responsible for developing the content and execution of HCP and consumer strategy for the regional and national sales meetings across marketing, training, and medical.
As our Senior Product Manager, you will join the Abilify Franchise team that is part of the psychiatry business unit, with our office located in Deerfield, Chicago. You'll be joining our team collaborating with a peer Senior Product Manager and cross-functional colleagues, as well our alliance partners.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Marketing Strategy
- Co-develops the Brand strategy for HCPs for Abilify Franchise by utilizing sound marketing principles, available market research, and data analysis
- Develops the consumer strategy utilizing sound marketing principles and available market research
- Works closely with sales and brand leadership to monitor brand performance and drive optimizations to increase revenue and achieve overall brand success
- Proactively considers / identifies new strategies, tactics, and vendors to challenge the team's thinking and raise the level of performance
- Partners with and leads outside agencies to develop consumer strategy and manage the promotional tactics
- Ensures cross-department support of the consumer initiatives by coordinating with other brand marketers, training, sales, market research, medical affairs, and corporate affairs
- Manages day-to-day consumer marketing budget for the Abilify Franchise - ensuring initiatives are delivered on time and within budget
- Drives the consumer digital, social media, and customer relationship strategies for the brand in collaboration with the alliance
Marketing Execution
- Successfully drives development, implementation, and evolution of new and existing HCP promotional materials, coordinating with relevant cross functional partners, including sales / sales leadership based on key learnings.
- Develops patient promotional materials including writing, referencing, field testing, medical/regulatory review, and creative execution
- Establishes ways to measure impact, report results, and adjust plans accordingly
- Ensures all marketing projects are compliant and have obtained necessary approvals through the appropriate medical, legal, compliance, and regulatory review process
Cross-Functional Collaboration and Influence
- Partners closely within marketing and cross-functional teams to develop all brand strategies and tactics
- Establishes strong relationship with the alliance and influences alliance partners to ensure joint decision making that is sound and reasonable
- Ensures Lundbeck's needs and POV are represented in alliance interactions, cultivating trust and respect, and asserting when necessary
- Implements promotional materials and activities by providing appropriate direction to sales training and the field organization
- Partners with Medical, Legal and Regulatory Affairs to communicate reasons for strategic and tactical plans, and obtain concept buy-in before developing new initiatives
- Provides innovative solutions to new and existing challenges.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS:
- Accredited Bachelor's degree
- 6+ years sales, marketing, or other relevant commercial experience
- 4+ years pharmaceutical, medical device, biotech, or healthcare experience
- Demonstrated ability to influence others and build consensus
- Demonstrated relationship development with the ability to work effectively both independently or within a cross-functional team
- Demonstrated ability to lead and move multiple related & unrelated workstreams forward in parallel
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products, namely Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS:
- 2+ years brand marketing experience
- Psychiatry Marketing experience (e.g. Schizophrenia, Bipolar disorder or previous LAI)
- Experience selling or marketing mental health products to psychiatrists, PCPs, or Neurologists, NP/PAs
- Expertise with both development of brand strategy and execution of a strategy at the tactical level
- Experience managing third-party vendors/agencies, keeping them on-time, in budget and ensuring that their activities are aligned with brand strategy.
- Experience working within a Strategic Partnership/Co-Promotion (Alliance)
- Experience developing, implementing, and optimizing marketing plans and budgets
- Experience leading digital/Non-Personal Promotion (NPP) marketing workstreams/tactics
- Experience with OPDP and FDA requirements
- Field sales experience
- LOE product experience
- MBA or Master's Degree
TRAVEL:
- Willingness to travel up to 30% domestically (up to 50% if remote based). International travel may be required
The range displayed is a national range, and if selected for this role, may vary based on various factors such as the candidate's geographical location, qualifications, skills, competencies and proficiency for the role. Salary Pay Range: $155,000 - $185,000 and eligibility for a 15% bonus target based on company and individual performance, and eligibility to participate in the company's long-term incentive plan.
