How you'll make an impact 

As a Senior Product Manager, you’ll be responsible for the life cycle of payments across the SonderMind platform. You’ll develop a strategy to improve collectibility by building excellent user experiences for clients, providers, and internal users. You will collaborate closely with design, engineering, and marketing teams to effectively deliver against your goals. To be successful, you will need to be able to bring quantitative and qualitative data together to inform priorities. You will also need to be an excellent communicator that can build cross-functional alignment of the strategy and roadmap.

Success looks like 

To be successful in this position, you have a history of leading successful revenue cycle management product development initiatives in a highly iterative collaboration with engineering and design team partners. You know how to build great consumer facing billing and payments experiences, and tie the success of those products to the financial health of the business. You are particularly strong as a cross-team collaborator,  and work closely with product design, engineering, clinical care, provider success, client success, and executive leadership to articulate a strategy, navigate competing priorities, and build a best-in-class experience in a fast-paced agile environment.

What you'll do 

  • Work in collaboration with team members to foster a mission-driven culture around quality of care for SonderMind’s clients and mental health providers.
  • Partner with stakeholders from engineering, design, data science, analytics, business operations, and legal teams to define and articulate SonderMind’s Revenue Cycle Management strategy and execution plan.
  • Support internal operations not limited to revenue operations, accounting, and finance  through defining, managing and executing against a product roadmap tailored to drive a delightful and efficient experience for our internal users.
  • Clearly define the success of individual product initiatives and tie their prioritization to your overall strategy for the Billing and Payments area of the product platform.
  • Work confidently within the Objectives and Key Results framework to define impact and progress. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand goals and pain points, gather requirements and understand internal workflows in order to design the ideal experience.
  • Collaborate with design team members to conduct user tests, research, and experiments to capture and understand real users' motivations, goals, and pain points.
  • Collaborate with product managers overseeing the client and provider facing user experiences to design and develop a unified product experience.
  • Define, monitor, and analyze product efficacy metrics and feed learnings back into the product development process.
  • Clearly communicate key product development priorities to all levels of the organization.
  • Create product requirements documents and functional specifications.
  • Manage project delivery and business expectations.

Required Experience 

  • 5+ years of experience as a product manager.
  • 3+ years experience product managing  billing and payments product initiatives that span multiple states with different regulatory requirements.
  • Experience building strong consumer facing payments products, and tying those initiatives to company financial health metrics.
  • Strong analytical skills and a track record of data-driven decision making.
  • Comfortable applying a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods to define success and problem solving without perfect metrics.
  • Willingness to be on a constant learning journey while continuously going above and beyond normative comfort levels to explore new methods and approaches to solving complex problems.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a virtual office environment.
  • Experience using data and forecasting to build business cases, analyze performance and drive decision-making.
  • Experience in testing, data analysis, addressing and solving problems, and strategic business process development.
  • Experience working with an engineering team to perform highly iterative R&D explorations into algorithmic solutioning to drive search relevance modalities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Active listener who effectively leads by influence.

Preferred Experience 

  • Experience with behavioral health services as an industry
  • Experience in human centered design and solutioning

The anticipated salary range for this role is $132,000-$165,000.  This role is eligible to participate in our equity incentive plan.  Actual compensation is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
