Senior Product Manager - Reporting and Performance Measurement
Job Description
As a key member of the Ridgeline Software Engineering team you’ll apply your product management and technology skills to transform the asset management space with our next generation, cloud-native solution. You will guide product solutions from design to production, while working directly with our Product Strategy team members, engineering, and customers. Capturing, managing, and prioritizing critical business requirements, then translating and synthesizing those needs for the Engineering team. (Empathy and judiciousness with a touch of tenacity come into play here.)Â
We are looking for a Product Manager to drive the requirements for our Performance Measurement solution. This role will equally contribute to our Reporting platform of which performance measurement is a key component. Our primary role is to provide functionality in support of firms to calculate, validate, and report on asset performance. You’ll be a contributing team member and cross-collaborate with other Product Managers, development teams, QA, and leadership to plan and create end-to-end solutions for a fast-growing software startup in the financial technology industry.Â
Key Expectations
- Connect directly with users from our design partners and customers to understand requirements, pain points, and opportunities to add value to their workflowsÂ
- Collaborate closely with the Product Management Director and Product Strategist on key roadmap decisions and strategic planning
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers on the Performance Measurement and Reporting teams to develop a seamless workflowÂ
- Coordinate with the broader Ridgeline Platform team to ensure compelling end-to-end workflows.Â
- Deliver product roadmaps and coordinate the product development process through analysis, discovery, design, development, testing, implementation, and post implementation phases, ensuring on-time delivery while communicating and partnering with technology peersÂ
- Evangelize the roadmap and technology vision and communicate the value to both internal and external stakeholders
- Curate use cases for full stack software engineers and ensure sufficient detail, success criteria, goals, and performance objectives are accurate and clearly articulated
- Partner with QA to collaborate on test plans and ensure quality measures are met
- Contribute to a cross-functional, collaborative environment deeply rooted in learning, teaching, and transparency
- Assess resource allocation needs across multiple projects
- Foster a productive, engaging, supportive culture of excellence as Ridgeline grows
Preferred Skills and Experience
- 3+ years of product management experience directly owning a product roadmap.Â
- 3-5+ years of Performance Measurement System, Accounting System, Reporting System experience in any capacity including R&D, Services, Tech Sales, or buy-side/end-user.
- Solid understanding of institutional asset managers and how their businesses are run.Â
- Experience working with operations teams in a financial services organization; Knowledge of back-office or middle-office asset manager workflows.
- Technical, business, or related degree.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.)
Nice-To-Haves
- CFA or CIPM certification or relevant studies.Â
- Knowledge of GIPS, Investment Performance calculations and/or Performance Attribution.
- Experience with enterprise reporting tools such as SSRS, PowerBI, Tableau, JasperReports, ActiveReports or Crystal Reports.Â
- Computer science or other technical background.Â

Compensation and BenefitsÂ

The cash compensation amount for this role is targeted at $130,000-$165,000 for individuals based in New York and California. Final compensation amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amount listed above.Â
