Job Description

Who We Are:

At the intersection of health plans and providers, Apixio is creating a leading Connected Care platform to minimize reimbursement inaccuracies and high-quality patient care so they can thrive as the industry moves toward value-based reimbursement models.

The combination brings together healthcare expertise, AI/machine learning technology and data-driven analytics solutions to deliver innovative solutions and value to our customers and the healthcare ecosystem. We aim to accelerate the shift toward alternative payment models, while enhancing efficiency and supporting better patient outcomes.

The Opportunity at Apixio:

Apixio’s risk adjustment programs empower clinical reviewers to identify gaps and suspected conditions and coding teams to capture diagnoses in the clinical record that were not adequately documented for submission.  These programs are supported through enabling capabilities that identify the most important patient records, and retrieve those records for coding and preparation for submission.

We are looking for a tenured Product Manager with industry knowledge and experience to expand and evolve Apixio’s prospective and retrospective products and enabling capabilities to support risk adjustment programs.  This is a critical role for Apixio and will be an exciting and challenging role for the right candidate.  Our Product Managers are the owners of our product vision and are tasked with leveraging our capabilities to solve some of healthcare’s most important and difficult challenges.

We will be asking you to:

  • Monitor industry and regulatory changes and translate them into product requirements when applicable.
  • Conduct user research to identify, understand, and capture the needs and motivations of Apixio’s customers.
  • Create feature Epics and Stories (in Jira) with enough detail to enable efficient development delivering expected results.
  • Coordinate with the Apixio Operations team to develop scalable processes and ensure they are adequately prepared for new releases.
  • Closely collaborate with the Apixio Product Design team to provide compelling and efficient end-user experiences.
  • Work with the Apixio Engineering team to plan, monitor, and report on the development schedule.
  • Validate that solutions deliver intended value and iterate based on stakeholder feedback.
  • Work with broader Apixio Product organization and Sales/Marketing to determine pricing, market dynamics, and packaging approach.
  • Contribute to the continual improvement of Product Management methodology and process at Apixio.

What you bring to the table:

  • Experience with risk adjustment programs, products and/or capabilities.
  • Strong comprehension of CMS regulatory dynamics and managed care program guidance.
  • Knowledge in healthcare data standards and ontologies including HL7 and FHIR,
