Senior Product Marketing Manager
Job Description
Maple Media is looking for a Product Marketing Manager, Lifecycle with experience in mobile Apps / Games to join our Los Angeles-based team. This role is focused on establishing and elevating our product marketing tools, technology, and strategy to rapidly grow our portfolio of app businesses, with a focus on apps with subscription revenue models.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience working on mobile apps/games, a track record of growing engagement and revenue, be familiar with digital performance marketing, and understand subscription revenue models. This is a high visibility role on a strategic function in Maple Media's 2023 strategy, with large opportunities for role and team expansion, and exposure to the leadership team.

About the role:
• Identify technical needs and gaps in our marketing tech stack, then collaborate with product and development teams to implement tools and technology
• Create and execute brand development and growth strategies for our subscription app businesses
• Develop funnels and KPI tracking for individual apps to evaluate and optimize performance to maximize subscription growth
• Manage and scale our standardized analytics taxonomy, in collaboration with the broader marketing team
• Cross functionally collaborate with product, design, QA, tech, and the Ads/BI organization to elevate and grow our businesses
• Help onboard new acquisitions and develop new marketing strategies for each mobile app & game company we acquire
Desired skills and experience:
• 5-7 years of experience in product marketing for mobile app or mobile game products
• Deep knowledge of the mobile app marketing tech stack, including app install attribution & deep linking, analytics platforms, ASO, email & push messaging platforms, and app subscription models
• Excellent written and oral communication skills. You understand and empathize with users, know what they want and why our products create value for them
• Strong experience in brand building, establishing brand loyalty and trust to build relationships and drive conversion
• Strong analytical skills and capabilities; you can look at CPI, CPM, ROAS, DAU, and other key metrics to determine cause and effect to build a strategy to grow KPIs and revenue
• Strong leadership skills. You are an effective cross-functional collaborator & project lead, and able to work with technical teams. You can work autonomously and manage up & to ensure a high level of communication across the organization
• Strong ability to develop, lead & execute product marketing strategy, and to find creative solutions to business challenges
• Familiarity working in App Store Connect and Google Play Developer Console
• Desire to be a part of an early-stage team and to work with urgency & high attention to detail in a high-energy startup environment
• A passion for mobile apps/games, you're someone who checks the App Store daily and is always trying out new apps & games. We’ll ask you to share some of your recent favorites.
The U.S. base salary range for this position is $100,000 - $150,000 plus bonus opportunities and benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level.
The Recruiting Process:
After the initial screening process with our recruiting team and the hiring manager, we’ll invite you to 2-3 interviews with other marketing team members, including your potential peers and senior management. This is an opportunity to get to know each other and identify if the role is aligned with your skillset and career goals. Typically, the candidates we move forward with understand their career goals and have spent a few minutes reviewing our products and the caliber of our team on LinkedIn to get a sense of who we are and what we do.
The interviews may be held remotely or in person and will include some behavioral and problem-solving questions. We may follow up with a take-home assignment that lets you show off your skillset. This exercise doesn’t require any prior company-specific knowledge, should take no more than a few hours to complete, and is representative of the work we do every day. We also typically check 1-2 references from former managers to hear about your impact firsthand from someone you’ve worked with, especially to confirm fit with our culture and ability to drive impact in a fast-paced startup environment. We also will make time for any and all questions you have about the role, your impact, and your trajectory, should you join our team.
