Cohesity is seeking a Senior Product Marketing Manager. This role will lead crucial product marketing functions for our data management, security, and insights product portfolio.
It will be meaningful for you to know the ins and outs of modern data management and security, and how cloud computing, ransomware, and AI are impacting enterprises around the globe. You will need to understand our customers and their needs so you can work closely across the organization to drive the right messages and go-to-market activities for our products, deliver tools and training to the sales team, and help drive commercial success for the product suite.
Proven expertise with persona-based messaging and vertical markets, or workload-specific expertise working with databases, virtual machines, and SaaS applications is strongly preferred.
How you'll spend your time here
- Be a storyteller. Develop messaging and content deliverables that articulate Cohesity’s capabilities, differentiating value, and key benefits for priority verticals, personas, and workloads.
- Use your domain knowledge, technical expertise, and understanding of our target personas to create specific content to help customers learn about, select, and be advocates for Cohesity products.Â
- Understand the user and customer journeys and align key messages to target audiences within those journeys.
- Understand the ecosystem of partners and collaborate with them to drive awareness, campaigns, co-marketing, and other related GTM.
- Drive sales enablement – guide the team to communicate the value proposition to the global sales team and in developing the sales tools and training that support the selling process. Work with the team to deliver content related to value propositions, competitive differentiators, and solution-focused sales materials.
- Launch products – plan the launch of new solutions and releases and lead the cross-functional implementation of the plan.
- Build and showcase market intelligence – be an expert on our buyers, how they buy and their buying criteria; understand the market landscape and how to competitively position the solutions. Serve as the voice of the customer to the internal product-focused teams to reinforce solving customer challenges.
- Drive demand and lead generation strategy – collaborate with the growth marketing team, digital marketing, and field marketing to deliver the marketing programs that drive demand.
We'd love to talk to you if you have many of the following
- 10+ years of software product marketing experience with at least 3 years of demonstrated ability in a technical or field-facing role related to data management, security, infrastructure, or IT operations.
- Proven technical subject matter expertise in data management, data security, and/or AI.
- Experience with enterprise AI, data management, and/or security offerings and experience bringing them to market
- Deep customer focus and understanding
- Strong ability to analyze an idea and develop a plan to implement
- Excellent communicator
- Experienced in core marketing functions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s Degree

Disclosure Pursuant to Applicable State Equal Pay Transparency Laws - This position has a starting pay range as listed below. Actual salary depends upon many factors, including a candidate’s skills, qualifications and experience, location, and salary expectations, and therefore a starting salary at the low end, high end, or even above the stated range may be offered. This position may also be eligible for bonus compensation, commission (if in a sales function), and/or equity grants. Additionally, full-time employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive benefits framework, including health and wellness benefits, vacation, paid holidays and refresh days, 401(k) retirement plan, life and disability insurance coverages, and other benefits the Company may offer from time to time.
US Pay Range
$132,800—$166,000 USD

In-Office Expectations
Cohesity employees who are within a reasonable commute (e.g. within a forty-five (45) minute average travel time) work out of our core offices 2-3 days a week of their choosing.
