WHAT WEâRE LOOKING FOR:
We are seeking someone who is passionate about sales technology and who can articulate complex technical concepts into simple terms that make sense to our customers. This role will be responsible for shaping our messaging and positioning of core product areas of our Revenue Workflow Platform and working with other parts of marketing to amplify our story out to the market and enable our sales team to effectively win against competitors and the status quo. This role will partner closely with Sales, Customer Success, Marketing and Product Management to position Salesloft offerings in the Sales Engagement Platform (SEP) market place.Â
You are capable of piecing together incomplete data to determine where a market is moving. You understand details and technologies, but you maintain a view of the bigger picture. Â
You are adept at communicating (writing and presenting) complex material to a wide variety of audiences from executives to entry level employees, engineers to sales.
On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for:
- Collaborate closely with our product development organization to build and execute go-to-market strategies for existing and new product solutions.Â
- Partner with product management, other marketing functions and sales enablement to execute and optimize our launch process to bring new and enhanced products to the market.
- Work closely with sales, sales enablement, and customer success to foster strong technical understanding of our platform capabilities and how they differentiate Salesloft in the market.
- Develop product positioning and value propositions aligned to our key target audiences as well as evolve existing GTM/Product narratives as we look to expand our audiences.Â
- Drive customer engagement of the platform and understand and solve for inhibitors to adoption using data to uncover trends and insights.
- Serve as a voice of the customer to the rest of the product team and company. This includes gaining a deep understanding ofâand drivingâcustomer engagement with the product, throughout their lifecycle (pre-adoption, post adoption/purchase, and after churning).
- Execute training to educate internal teams on the go-to-market, positioning, messaging, differentiation etc.
- Work collaboratively on strategic initiatives with other Marketing disciplines including; brand content and creative, partner and customer marketing, field and event marketing and marketing programs.Â
- Contribute thought leadership content pushing the boundaries of best practices in the industry.Â
- Understand the competitive landscape, our differentiators and activate strategies for achieving success throughout the organization.

Our Salesloftâs product marketing team is composed of seasoned marketing professionals who are all aligned on one mission: to transform the profession of sales and activate the authentic seller in all of us.Â
The product marketing team consists of results oriented SaaS marketing professionals with a strong mentality and desire to win in our market. They understand our buyers (sales, marketing & customer success leaders, sales & revenue operations) and uses (sales & customer facing teams) and can partner closely with internal teams and work closely with our customers and prospects. The professionals on our product marketing team share a few common traits: they are smart, analytical, creative problem solvers, self-motivated, ambitious, and passionate about helping our teams evangelize Salesloft in the market. They are also the epitome of our core values - Customers First. THE SKILL SET:
- BA/BS in business, marketing, statistics, computer science or a related discipline. MBA is a plus!Â
- 7+ years of experience in enterprise, B2B software sales engineering, product management, product marketing or consulting.
- Experience analyzing and developing strong point-of-view on market categories required. Â
- Experience presenting to both internal audiences and customers.
- Collaborative mentality by prioritizing âweâ and not focusing on âmeâ.
- Superb analytical skills in gathering information from various sources and teasing out the âso-whatâ and effectively communicating differentiated positioning to our teams.
- High level of empathy - itâs important for our product marketers to be a good person to their marketing peers, internal partners and customers.
- Experience in a sales role or sales-related role strongly preferred.
- Experience with sales or marketing technology applications is strongly preferred.
WITHIN ONE MONTH, YOUâLL:
- Attend Salesloftâs New Hire Orientation, where you will learn our Salesloft story and understand what makes our âLoftersâ unique.Â
- Join key portions of our Sales Bootcamp, where you will learn our software and all the skills necessary to set you up for success, allowing you to make an impact in the market quickly.
- Begin 1:1âs with your manager, understand your 30-60-90 plan, meet & shadow current members of the Salesloft team, and delve into your territory.
- Set your OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) with your manager and develop an action plan to achieve them.
- Meet key partners in product management, sales, customer success and the other marketing departments.
- Become demo certified.
WITHIN THREE MONTHS, YOUâLL:
- Understand your product âsurface areasâ deeply and build strong relationships with your product manager counterparts
- Understand the Sales Engagement market and players
- Complete an audit of your product areas existing assets (sales tools, collateral, differentiation guides, sales training, previous launch materials, etc.)Â
- Put together a prioritized plan to create and update product assets
- Partner with your Product Marketing counterparts on 6-week launch cadences to roll-out new and enhanced capabilities to our internal and external audiences
WITHIN SIX MONTHS, YOUâLL:
- Be viewed as a subject matter expert on our market and your product âsurface areasâ
- Regularly get pulled into sales cycles or sales conversations by our sales and CS team to help position our new and enhanced capabilitiesÂ
- Have developed a systematic approach to looking at our offerings, where the market is going and partnering with other functions - PM, Sales, Solution Consulting, Customer Success - to help prioritize future roadmap for your product âsurface areasâ.
- Get pulled into a strategic marketing or company level projectÂ
WITHIN TWELVE MONTHS, YOUâLL:
- Be considered a top-performing member of the product marketing team
- Set an example for new marketers and product marketers and assist in training, onboarding and motivating new Lofters

Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
