The Product Marketing Lead for Founder Products will lead all end-to-end product marketing initiatives for Carta’s new and upcoming products aimed at serving startup founders. You will be instrumental in shaping founder experience on Carta as well as launching new products and features.Â
As a member of Carta’s Product Marketing team, you will be the driving force behind getting products to market - and keeping them there. The ultimate role of a product marketer is to liaise between internal teams (Product, Sales, Business, Development, etc) and the end-user. As a product marketer you are an expert on the user and their needs.Â
Our team is focused on three things:Â
- Improving product roadmaps by serving as the voice of the customer
- Driving adoption and utilization of new & existing featuresÂ
- Aligning and enabling internal teams to tell the right story about Carta’s productsÂ
This is a foundational role on our founder team. You will be responsible for:
- Defining Carta’s market positioning and value proposition for founders
- Conducting user research to identify Carta’s founder personas and jobs-to-done
- Crafting Carta’s founder product narrative in partnership with Brand Strategy
- Creating and executing go-to-market plans for Carta’s founder products & features
A successful PMM for this role would likely have:
- 4+ years of Product Marketing experience, preferably in a small startup, either your own or as an early employee
- A deep understanding of startup founder needs and the current market landscape
- A founder’s mentality. You put yourself in the user’s shoes, striving to create a good, intuitive product experiences for founder
- A learner mindset; Carta sits at the intersection of software, private markets, public markets, and other capital markets players - we learn new things every day
- Motivation to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to distill complex thoughts and strategies into simple, actionable recommendations, especially to executives
- Creative problem solving skills. Someone who can diagnose problems, isolate them into their component parts, and drive towards creative solutions
