Job Overview
Right Networks is looking for a highly proactive and driven Senior Product Marketing Manager to join its fast-growing Software Products Group and help us develop, promote and sell a differentiated set of software solutions.
First and foremost, you will be a subject matter expert on the small business market (experience in the Accounting & Tax industries a plus), and someone who thrives as a strategic advisor to your stakeholders and the rest of the company. You will have the depth of technical understanding necessary to map technologies and product functionality to the market’s needs and lead the creation of compelling value propositions that drive positioning and messaging. You must also be able to lead a team of product marketers, set clear goals, manage a variety of projects in a fast-paced environment, and drive consistent, high-quality execution.
Reporting to the Director, Product Marketing – Software Products, this person will help drive the strategic planning and execution of new product, feature(s) and functionality launches, as well as pricing, product positioning, messaging, and sales enablement. This is a critical role to fuel our next stage of growth by executing on our Account Based Marketing strategy.
This is a remote work position.
Responsibilities
- Be a SME on the market and its buyers and use this knowledge to drive all other activities.
- Drive the GTM strategy and maintain an ongoing understanding of the performance of our products to create plans and deliver results.
- Develop product positioning and messaging for each type of buyer and segment that differentiates our solutions.
- Produce and support the creation of externally facing persona-based marketing collateral designed to accelerate the adoption and activations of new software solutions.
- Mentor and develop the team (currently includes a partner marketing manager) and identify opportunities for further development and growth.
- Work across the organization to develop valuable product insights from customer feedback and recommendations.
- Partner with the Sales and Customer Success teams to develop targeted product messaging and then drive the enablement of those customer-facing teams.
- Create business and launch plans, including development, implementation, pricing and packaging, and sales and channel strategies.
- Working with product teams assist in developing customer-centric product roadmaps.
Requirements
- 5+ years of technology product marketing experience and experience leading product marketing teams. Product management experience is a plus.
- Experience in SaaS and/or product-led business models.
- A balance of technical and commercial knowledge to translate complex technologies into market facing value propositions.
- A data-driven marketer with a creative mindset and the ability to develop actionable plans from quantitative and qualitative data.
- Strong organizational, and project management skills – keep the team rowing in the same direction.
- Self-starter who can prioritize effectively and thrives in a high-pace, innovative technology environment.
- Well-rounded experience in product positioning, market research, and launch strategy.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
