Senior Product Owner

What You'll Do
Flatiron's Real World Evidence (RWE) Product team delivers a unique combination of data products, visualization tools, and services offerings to support a range of use cases in the drug development lifecycle. As a Senior Product Owner, you will partner closely with product management, engineering, data insights, product design, and clinicians to deliver new features and capabilities to the market.
You will:

• Translate business requirements to technical requirements, ensuring delivery against business case and ROI.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product Design, and other internal stakeholders on solutioning and prototyping, representing the interests of buyers, users and internal stakeholders.
• Manage epic and user story backlog to enable sprint-level work planning and delivery, ensuring it reflects the most current requirements and aligns with the product roadmap.
• Debate tradeoff decisions with internal stakeholders, including engineers, data scientists, product designers, and clinicians.
• Partner with engineering management to sequence work such that the team is able to deliver incremental value quickly, receive feedback early, and pivot accordingly.
• In collaboration with an engineering manager, lead scrum ceremonies, recommending and utilizing industry best practices.
• Ensure releases meet the definition of done and complies with legal, privacy, security and architectural standards.
• Mentor Product Owners and other Product Team colleagues in best practices for agile software development.

Who You Are
We are looking for a Senior Product Owner with at least 7 years of experience as a Product Owner or similar role. You're excited by the prospect of rolling up your sleeves to tackle meaningful problems each and every day. You're a kind, passionate and collaborative problem-solver who seeks and gives candid feedback, and values the chance to make an important impact.

• You have a BA/BS degree in business management, technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• You have a strong understanding and experience using scrum methodologies and agile frameworks.
• You have experience developing, maintaining, and prioritizing backlog of epics and user stories throughout all stages of the product life cycle
• You have a strong technical aptitude with an ability to understand technical designs, challenges, and their impact on product requirements
• You have a willingness to dive deep into the subject matter and become an expert in your area of ownership
• You have strong verbal and written communication skills. You can communicate complex scientific and technical concepts in a clear and empathetic manner, ensuring stakeholder comprehension and satisfaction.

Job Compensation Range
Salary Range: $148,000.00 - $222,000.00

Preferred Primary Location: NYC Headquarters
The annual pay range reflected above for this position is based on the preferred primary location of the role which is listed in the job description. Salary ranges for other locations vary from the range reflected above. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. An annual bonus and equity may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
