Job Description

This position exists within the Clarios Global Analytics Team, which is responsible for the overall analytics capabilities within Clarios at a Global and Regional Level. It has a regional scope and will help to form and mature regional capabilities to move Clarios towards a more structured strategic-decision support system by preparing data assets to be analyzed and modeled allowing information to be converted into actionable insights to optimize decisions and drive strategy. The role serves as a liaison between regional business stakeholders and the analytics cross-functional teams to document, review, analyze and evaluate business requests, define solution requirements, develop specifications, and oversee the execution of tasks and activities to achieve the desired business outcomes.

This will be accomplished by working closely with the business community to analyze and document current processes and data flows, design innovative solutions and provide guidance for key technical and business users. This role will also oversee and provide technical guidance to offshore development teams in an agile development model to ensure on-time and high-quality delivery while adhering to enterprise system and data architectural guidelines. Additionally, this role will support end-user adoption and serve as a subject matter expert for all visualizations and underlying data.

What you will do

  • Understand business strategy and objectives by studying the business function, gathering information, evaluating output requirements and developing mockups to visualize insights
  • Lead or participate in multiple projects by completing and updating project documentation, managing project scope, determining daily priorities ensuring efficient and on-time delivery of project tasks and managing customer and supplier relationships
  • Provide oversight to actions of the Global Analytics, as well as oversight to all business relationships within the Global Analytics project portfolio.
  • Engage end-users with tools to facilitate their day-to-day work, making large and/or complex data more accessible and providing training or guidance as needed
  • Establish best practices and serve as an advisor on how to visualize data to provide insights that drive business decisions and improve overall business performance.
  • Manage customer relationships and expectations by developing a communication process to keep others informed regarding project status
  • Support organizational change management and provide timely communication to stakeholders
  • Elicit and document requirements (functional and non-functional), traceability matrices, user stories, source to target maps, specifications and test plans
  • Lead the delivery teams in the development of solutions according to the Clarios architectural standards and ensure key performance metrics are deployed in accordance with global standards established for metric deployment.
  • Provide input and guidance on Clarios Analytics technical roadmap including key decisions on development practices, tools, platform and technical solution requirements
  • Assess the risks of solution options and recommend alternatives to mitigate
  • Determine operational objectives by studying business functions, gathering information, evaluating output requirements and formats
  • Collaborates with the architecture team to ensure appropriate architectural runway is in place for productive off-shore development
  • Execute research & development proof of concepts
  • Define data reconciliation processes to ensure ongoing quality
  • Assist in project planning activities by identifying project tasks, milestones, resource requirements and cost elements
  • Perform regular reviews and analysis of current processes using operational metrics, developing reports as needed
  • Collaborate closely with developers to implement the requirements, provide necessary guidance to testers during the QA process
  • Develop and execute test plans and facilitate User Acceptance Testing
  • Monitor and drive efficiency across delivery teams and identify opportunities to tune and improve data analyses and development processes.
  • Support system conversions, upgrades, enhancements
  • Integrate quality practices in all aspects of delivery; audit work products to ensure data quality and sustainability of the solution
  • Support demand intake and prioritization process
  • Assist business partners in the creation of business cases
  • Train end-users on process and system functionality
  • Perform other job-related duties as needed

How you will do it

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Business, or comparable field required.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of professional relevant experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience of technical leadership and supervisory duties, experience working in a staffing environment with a mix of onshore and offshore teams required
  • 7+ years of experience in designing, developing, and delivering Business Intelligence solutions
  • Communication skills - Excellent interpersonal skills including ability to work in collaborative team environments and establish and maintain on-going business relationships.
  • Requirement gathering skills - Proven record of working with Business to understand capabilities and translate into technical requirements in a matrix environment with global Business and IT groups
  • Issue resolution skills - Proven implementation and issue resolution experience - including troubleshooting, performance tuning, and data reconciliation issue. Problem-solving skills - ability to navigate technology and organizational issues to complete project tasks
  • High performance / multi-tasking skills - Demonstrated ability to work in fast paced environment and adapt to changes in priorities as business needs dictate. Ability to work in a matrix environment with multiple IT and business groups
  • Less than 10% travel expectations

What we look for

  • Experience with FP&A or supply chain data
  • Proficiency in agile methodology
  • Proficiency in MS Power BI, Power Pivot, Power Query, SQL, SAP Business Objects
  • Experience with cloud native data warehouse landscape like MS Azure, snowflake, etc
  • Experience in SAP ECC or S/4 HANA (FICO)
  • Broad knowledge of different techniques for data mining, statistics and big data wrangling
  • Knowledges of the key concepts related to master data management, data standards and data organizations
  • Project management skills
