Description

The Senior Product Owner is responsible for conveying product vision and roadmap to an Agile delivery team by defining user stories and prioritizing product backlog. Analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Maximizes value of product created by Agile team. Liaises with stakeholders and the development team ensuring the right product is being built, in the right order, within budget and by the deadline. Agile team's primary contact for information, work prioritization, and decision-making.

We are seeking Senior Product Owners who will join Digital Experience Transformation and support Voice & Conversational Products. You will be accountable for developing and executing on a suite of products ranging from implementing the core contact center management platform to creating conversational digital products that meets desired customer and business outcomes. You will work cross functionally to deliver incremental value through agile product creation & delivery.

The Senior Product Owner is responsible for prioritizing and overseeing the development team's work and making sure Humana derives as much value as possible from product outcomes. Focuses on the quality of product features, responsible for defining user stories, prioritizing work in the backlog, clarifying requirements, and maximizing the value delivered by their team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate business priorities to technical team members
  • Understand customer needs and validate solutions developed by the delivery team
  • Approve design on behalf of the verticals/journey teams
  • Develop and execute product roadmap
  • Develop/review/approve user stories, requirements, and acceptance criteria
  • Conduct day-to-day interaction with the Development Team and the Scrum Master
  • Defines and prioritizes product backlog and releases based on the evolving needs of verticals and work to achieve key results
  • Confirm product quality requirements are met
  • Communicate value of a particular story to a scrum team and ensures user stories are well formed with clear acceptance criteria
  • Demonstrate value of product functionality / sprint outcomes, either on an ad-hoc basis and/or during relevant ceremonies

Role Essentials

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years or more of experience in product ownership and/or technology implementations
  • Prior experience assisting Product Managers with key technical decisions to refine the backlog
  • Agile product development experience, sprint/iteration planning and assisting with resolving technical issues and helping the product manager accept business and technical stories
  • Participate in user acceptance testing, interacting with key stakeholders to iterate on implementations
  • Assisting in stories related to technical debt
  • Experience effectively gathering requirements
  • Strong communication skills both verbally and written

Role Desirables

  • MBA or Master's Degree
  • Experience leveraging design approaches to develop consumer centric products/solutions
  • Work experience in health care and/or insurance industry
  • Experience developing/delivering/managing contact center voice products
  • Experience with voice and conversational capability enablement/automation
  • Experience with cloud contact center voice platforms - Genesys, AWS Connect or others

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay decisions will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$93,000 - $127,950 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
