Senior Product Support Engineer
Job Description
- As part of the Product Support team, provide technical support on fuel cell system operation
and maintenance, identify emergent field issues, track failure trends, perform root cause analyses, and drive resolution of technical issues - Manage projects for the Product Support team, cross functional groups within Bloom Energy
(BE), and BE customers with unique technical challenges. Communicate status of projects at various levels within the company and with BE customers via in-depth reporting and meeting coordination - Collaborate with cross functional teams on new product development and design for service
- Prepare detailed documentation and training material for Field Service Technicians, system operators and BE customers
- Manages the Field Service Training program for Field Service in accordance with business needs
- Assist in testing and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical and hardware related components
- Travel to customer sites to provide field support (although based in the office, this position
may require up to 25% domestic and international travel, usually of short duration
Skills and Experience:
The following MINIMUM levels of experience are required:
- BS in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience
- 4-8 years of relevant work experience in system testing, electrical design, power systems and battery storage
- Strong knowledge of NFPA 70, NEC and system regulatory codes for energy storage installations
- Strong electrical, mechanical and IT aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- SolidWorks CAD Knowledge preferred
- Highly motivated and able to work collaboratively and independently while demonstrating sound judgment
- A team player who exhibits a high level of integrity and professionalism
- Able to work flexible times and travel for short periods
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills

$89,400.00 - $128,700.00
