ABOUT THIS ROLE
Apex Fintech Solutions is seeking a Senior Production Operations Specialist to join our Site Operations (SiteOps) Team. SiteOps supports the business with 24/5 coverage through various regions (Dallas, Texas / Belfast, Northern Ireland / Manila, Philippines) and is vital for ensuring that the company's operations meet the high standards expected by Apex and our customers. As a Senior Production Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for the daily oversight and operation of batch processing activities, primarily during overnight hours (EST). Your role is critical in adhering to internal Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for overnight and start-of-day services. The person will also support key operational functions across the various business units within Apex by carrying out mature processes and assisting with the intake and refinement of tasks from other teams as required. This role will play a pivotal role in strategic initiatives, process improvements, and mentorship within the team.
Duties/Responsibilities

• Monitor and support daily batch processes (EST overnight) and triage/troubleshoot any production batch issues as needed.
• Adhere to internal SLAs for any overnight or start of day services.
• Assist with a variety of internal initiatives such as maintaining documentation, contributing to our internal knowledge base, monitoring security, system use, cost savings and workloads using ticketing systems and tier 1 production incident support.
• Identify trends, or areas of opportunity for improvement.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
• Contribute to the strategic planning and implementation of operational improvements, identifying trends and areas for enhancement.
• Develop and implement strategies to meet and exceed SLA targets.

Education and/or Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of prior experience
• Experience in a production operations or similar role, preferably in a fintech or financial services environment.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Strong understanding of batch processing and overnight operations.
• Ability to work overnight hours (EST) and provide on-call support as needed.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues under pressure.
• Effective communication skills to interact with various business units and stakeholders.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems and incident management.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
