Position Summary

Manage the course development calendar and assign instructional designers and course developers to course requirements and project design initiatives.

Role and Responsibilities

Manage the course development calendar and assign instructional designers and course developers to course requirements and project design initiatives. Oversee vendor services as well as the HR professional development journey acting as a subject matter expert and key contact for key external partnerships. Establish a course modality strategy that supports a geographically dispersed, sales, marketing, and engineering business client group. Partner with key stakeholders to identify course outcomes and clearly articulate course objectives, requirements, and assessment criteria. Integration of learning with other key programs including D&I, mentoring, coaching, and compliance initiatives. Foster a culture of learning across employees, managers, and leaders. Identify educational technologies to support approach and content mix; maximize the benefits of the LMS (Samsung U). Facilitation and delivery of executive level learnings (as required). Move rapidly in both strategic design and practical execution to move at the speed of the business with proactive consultation. Prioritize, task manage, and address cross-functional communications and action required. Advocate and get the necessary buy-in for programs and team support by working effectively with individuals, groups, and other organizational units to carry out the goals of the function. Supervises 3-5 subordinates (Facilitator/Senior Facilitator/Instructional Designer).

Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Marketing, HR, a related field, or foreign equivalent and 5 years of progressively responsible post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related role. Applicants must have 5 years of experience in the following: (1) strategic design and practical execution to move at the speed of the business with proactive consultation; (2) providing the strategic direction to developing and planning employee programs; (3) developing a course modality strategy that supports a geographically dispersed, sales, marketing and engineering business client group; (4) promoting strategies for knowledge management resources, social learning initiatives/programs, and acceleration plans for building learning culture; and (5) Developing integration learning with other key programs including D&I, mentoring, coaching, and compliance initiatives. 10-15% domestic travel required.
