We support Government and prime system integrators with engineering and management expertise. Allegient Defense helps clients with challenging Science & Technology, Engineering Acquisition, and Program Management Mission requirements.

Allegient Defense is a leader in advanced technology research and solutions development, and we are growing quickly. We are looking to hire a Senior Program Analyst for one of our federal clients.

The Senior Program Analyst is responsible for providing a full range of project management and support services to the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Technology Transitions (OTT) Commercialization and other Programs portfolio.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide project management support the Energy Program for Innovation Cluster (EPIC) Program Awards and EnergyTech University Prize programs.
  • Provide Support for OTT Funding Opportunity Announcements and associated activities needed to support Funding Opportunities including assisting FOA manager in planning and executing the independent merit review and selection processes, as well as with selection announcement preparations.
  • Provide technical input to project planning and execution that is consistent with DOE and OTT procedures and preferences.
  • Provide support to the entire portfolio of OTT's Commercialization Programs, including screening proposals for completeness, as well as sending follow-up emails, updating tracker spreadsheets, and preparing and sending needed reporting to OTT leadership.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Provide backup support to OTT's Technology Commercialization Fund (TCF) as needed.
  • Preparing reports for DOE OTT managers, staff and others as needed; this includes gathering, analyzing, organizing and presenting information and data in a logical, persuasive manner.
  • Reading, understanding and bringing to management's attention items requiring attention from the variety of data and reports sent to the office for action.
  • Contribute ideas and technical input to OTT's current and upcoming fiscal year programmatic planning and execution.
  • Creating and maintaining master files/schedules related to program history, execution and status for the life of the program.
  • Supporting the OTT Commercialization Team's programs in other areas on an as-needed basis to ensure programs operate effectively and issues / concerns are raised to OTT Management.

Position Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's Degree (or equivalency) in Business, Management, Marketing, Accounting, Finance or related field from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 5 years of related experience. Advanced degrees may be substituted for required years of experience.
  • Experience working in a DOE environment
  • Experience with DOE Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) activities is preferred.
  • Experience managing merit review processes.
  • Proven customer relationship skills including excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of comfort with multitasking and rapidly shifting priorities.
  • Strong management and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to perform detail-oriented work.
  • Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to draft Word documents and PowerPoint presentations for federal review as well as utilize Excel to track proposal and review data and perform analysis for federal use.

  • The duties of this position require the Candidate to report to the DOE Forrestal Building in Washington DC or a designated DOE Reporting Center during their daily work schedule. The reporting location will be defined at the time the position is filled. Unless otherwise stated, the default DOE Reporting Center is the DOE Forrestal Building in Washington DC. Occasional or regularly scheduled telework may be available for this position as workload or other conditions allow and will be negotiated at the time of appointment. These teleworking agreements, if accepted by both parties, are intended to be flexible and may change during the term of this appointment. Initial teleworking agreements are not guaranteed to remain unchanged and workload or other conditions may require the candidate to report full time to the designated DOE Reporting Center.

    Desired Skills:
  • Master's Degree preferred.
  • Possess a Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
  • Ability to multi-task and respond to rapidly changing priorities and workload.
  • Experience working in a DOE environment is preferred.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working with Senior Level Executives
  • Prior experience supporting Federal Technical Transition project a plus (Civilian or DoD)
