Job Description

Position Description: Committee of 100 is seeking a full-time staff Senior Program Associate. This is hybrid (New York based) position. The Senior Program Associate will manage the day-to-day aspects of Committee of 100’s three key initiatives (and build new programs where appropriate) that support the mission and vision of Committee of 100. The role will report to the Director of Development & Key Initiatives. The position does not manage others. 
 

What you will do: 

  • Coordinate design, implementation, and scaling of Committee of 100’s Next-Generation Leaders program (NGL), C100 Scholars Program (CSP) and From Foundations to Frontiers (FFtF) program 

  • Build up existing programs and work to improve current strategies 

  • Research and interview prospective Next Generation Leaders 

  • Manage nominations and onboarding process of new Next-Generation Leaders 

  • Coordinate NGL and CSP events and programming, including virtual and in-person activities 

  • Keep a record of feedback, outcomes and metrics to demonstrate results 

  • Conduct outreach to schools, PTA groups and teachers for From Foundations to Frontiers curriculum and pilot curriculum rollout in one school.

  • Utilize data to develop and incorporate new ideas, evaluating a program’s strengths and weaknesses 

  • Maintain NGL and CSP alumni database 

  • Track, report, and communicate progress on programs and tasks to key stakeholders on an ongoing basis

  • Lead sessions or presentations when needed 
     

Key Qualifications: 

  • Ideally 3+ years of experience in managing programs that involve senior business leaders or top university students 

  • Self-starter with a proactive, team player attitude who can build strong relationships with colleagues across organization’s various functions 

  • Experience putting together programs/curriculum for regular and recurring programs 

  • Impeccable project management and event planning experience 

  • Strong communication skills – written, verbal, and interpersonal 

  • Proven problem-solving and time management skills, including ability to prioritize work, set expectations, meet deadlines, multi-task, and produce consistent, quality work 

  • Proficiency in digital media tools and platforms, MS Office Suite, CRM platforms 

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented 

  • Flexible and able to work on multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced, and fluid environment 

  • Keen sense of judgment and confidentiality and a desire to learn 

  • Available to work schedule, as needed, including evenings and weekends 
     

Big Pluses: 

  • Bachelor’s in Education, Asian American Studies, East Asian Studies, Ethnic Studies, Business, International Relations, or related fields 

  • Existing experience and working knowledge from an AAPI or Chinese American Community Based Organization

  • Keen understanding of AAPI community needs and areas of support 

  • Experience managing working partnerships and external organizations 

  • Bilingual in English & Mandarin (fluency writing, reading and speaking)

  • Salary: $65,000 annually - $80,000 annually, depending on experience.

NOTE: The Committee of 100 office is working a hybrid schedule and is currently going into the Manhattan office 1-day/week.
