As passionate about our people as we are about our mission.

What We’re All About:

Q2 is proud of delivering our mobile banking platform and technology solutions, globally, to more than 22 million end users across our 1,300 financial institutions and fintech clients. At Q2, our mission is simple: Build strong, diverse communities by strengthening their financial institutions. We accomplish that by investing in the communities where both our customers and employees serve and live.

What Makes Q2 Special?

Being as passionate about our people as we are about our mission. We celebrate our employees in many ways, including our “Circle of Awesomeness” award ceremony and day of employee celebration among others! We invest in the growth and development of our team members through ongoing learning opportunities, mentorship programs, internal mobility, and meaningful leadership relationships. We also know that nothing builds trust and collaboration like having fun. We hold an annual Dodgeball for Charity event at our Q2 Stadium in Austin, inviting other local companies to play, and community organizations we support to raise money and awareness together.

The Job At-A-Glance:

We are looking for a leader that wants to make their mark on the Program Management Office (DevPMO) by providing oversight on Engineering programs/projects. The DevPMO partners with multiple teams across Q2 in growing users and usage on the digital banking platform. We are focused on building deep relationships within Q2 and improving cross-functional effectiveness. If you are looking for a role with high impact and visibility, where you can work with talented people in building/extending our product offerings, improving time to market and have a passion for Lean processes, this might be the right home for you.

This is an exciting opportunity to be on the cutting edge of program management practices within a rapidly growing organization where you can help shape the future of portfolio management, customer experience and innovation within the DevPMO and across the Engineering teams.

Your core responsibilities include applying portfolio/program/project management frameworks and methodologies to promote a consistent approach across the portfolio using appropriate management tools, processes, and practices.

Your proactive governance ensures clear escalation routes and control procedures are in place for managing cross-functional initiatives such as programs/projects, resource utilization, change control, financials, portfolio development, and program health.

You enjoy establishing and collaborating to ensure the highest quality reporting and deliverables that drive improvements on individual programs/projects and across the portfolio.

You drive consistency in PMO standards across programs/projects and promote cross-functional business objectives. You invest in yourself and others by helping to onboard/train your teammates and grow the team.

You are passionate about adhering to all security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality and privacy policies, controls, and commitments.

This is a flexible position. We are seeking candidates in the Eastern or Central time zones and will work together on your preferred working arrangement. You can enjoy a few days working from home, and a few days in our beautiful offices or working remotely.

A Typical Day:

You will spend time leading Engineering programs/projects to deliver on our commitments. You will be a primary contact for stakeholders in the communication of scope, timelines, outcomes, and effectiveness of product roadmap and engineering portfolio attainment.

  • Collaborate with teams, stakeholders, and leadership by focusing on attaining monthly outcomes, quarterly milestones, and overall program objectives. Generally, these programs are long-running (12+ months).

  • Be an active partner with multiple teams across Q2, specifically product, engineering, hosting, customer support, accounting, and finance to promote cross-functional effectiveness.

  • Own responsibility for clearing roadblocks, mitigating risks, and resolving issues.

  • Build relationships across Q2 that develop clear lines of sight goals, objectives, deliverables, health reporting and impactful metrics.

  • Ensure that goals, objectives, deliverables, and timelines are aligned with teams, stakeholders, and leadership.

  • Anticipate needs and drive results through planning, documentation, dependency coordination, tracking, internal training, and communications.

  • Build and actively manage program dashboards and monitor program and milestone health.

  • Exercise independent judgment in methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining excellent results specifically in planning, communication, risk/issue mitigation, program health and cost analysis.

  • Lead continuous improvements via regular reporting metrics and use these metrics to drive teams and process improvements (including but not limited to processes, stakeholder satisfaction, technology, teams, customer experience, methodologies, and capabilities).

  • Coordinate and apply lessons learned that help build strong teams and ensure high quality deliverables.

  • Set an example of fierce commitment to customer satisfaction.

Bring Your Passion, Do What You Love. Here’s What We’re Looking For:

  • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in Business or Project Management and a minimum of 12 years in a Senior Program Manager role or an advanced degree with 8+ years of experience.

  • Servant leadership with 10+ years working with Agile/Scrum teams. Strong understanding of Agile Software Development Lifecycles.

  • Highly motivated and organized with a proven track record of developing and innovating financial processes with success.

  • Experience in building teams, mentoring, coaching, and training.

  • Soft skills in partner/relationship management and solid ability to influence stakeholders.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills. You can effectively translate and communicate complex technical information and risk to various audiences within the organization.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills, excellent analytical ability, and metric/data driven.

  • Self-disciplined, self-motivated, and the ability to organize and prioritize time effectively.
