Job Description

Precise has an opportunity for a Senior Project Manager with experience in managing complex Government IT projects in the federal contractor space. This role requires the excellent communication skills needed to be act as client liaison, and manage internal technical leads and partners/subcontractors for a small portfolio of projects under a Precise client. Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • The position is remote but the successful candidate must be located the D.C. Metropolitan area or a maximum 2- to 3-hour drive for occasional client meetings.
  • 10+ years of experience managing technical projects for federal government clients in a federal contracting environment is required. Experience managing project budgets, profit and loss centers (P&L), and staff resourcing is necessary.
  • Successful candidates must be able to complete a Public Trust background check, requiring U.S. residency for 3 of the past 5 years. (This clearance can take up to two-three months.)

Responsibilities Include:

  • Serve as liaison between clients, internal technical leads and partners in aspects of projects.
  • Prepare and lead client status reports, executive reports, overall project timelines, risk mitigation management
  • Provide clear and accurate instructions for technical project managers and technical leads involved in the program
  • Create management Plans to project stages and assess business implications for each stage.
  • Monitor progress to assure deadlines, deliverables, standards, and cost targets are met.
  • Provide leadership on major tasks/assignments.
  • Decision making and domain knowledge may have a critical impact on overall project implementation.
  • Provide oversight, coordination for the project work with partners/subcontractors.
  • Participate in the creation and management of task orders, statements of work, subcontractors work and staffing plans for the projects.

Requirements:

  • Minimum ten (10) years of experience managing technical projects for federal government clients in a federal contracting environment.
  • Experience managing project budgets, profit and loss centers (P&L), and staff resourcing.
  • Experience on Agile Development.
  • Partners/subcontractors management.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects at one time.
  • Demonstrated experience in quality control and continuous improvement initiatives.

Education:

  • BS degree required, MS degree preferred in a technical discipline or an MBA.

Preferred:

  • PMP
  • Appian experience
  • SAS Implementation experience
