National Grid is hiring a Senior Project Manager for our Corporate Affairs department. This position will be based out of our Melville, NY office.

Job Purpose

Act as a key driver of the Project C strategy, developing action plans to achieve short- and long-term goals related to our investment pillars- Workforce Development; Environmental Justice & Social Equity; Clean Energy & Sustainability; Community Engagement & Neighborhood Investment; Vendor Development.

Key Accountabilities• Design, plan and implement initiatives using established project management principles and engaging a variety of cross-functional partners across all departments and external stakeholders • Translate Community Impact vision and strategy into concrete project plans, policies, reporting and budgets• Collaborate with cross-functional partners internal the organizations to ensure social impact goals are top of mind across all facets of the business. • Work in partnership with internal teams to identify and manage a pipeline of Project C opportunities • Assist in the community impact storytelling content across all platforms, working cross-functionally with local teams • Manage several projects involving diverse cross-functional teams, serving as a point person to ensure high level engagement and effective implementation of the plans• SUPPORT engagements strategy for internal employees and stakeholders to raise awareness of Project C across the NY business• Manage community partnership milestone reporting- ensuring partnership is achieving key milestones and KPIs • Research, develop, recommend, and execute creative strategies to foster new and existing community impact programs.• Evaluate community partner applications against strategic criteria, and support them through the application, partnership development and activation process• Identify project challenges as they arise, engaging internal teams where needed to address and modify project plans to maintain progress toward objectives• Maintain records of project status, goals, and documentation to support accurate reporting and ensure compliance• Strategically WORK WITH nonprofits and STAKEHOLDERS to build and maintain strong and effective relationships.• Organize and actively participate in community events to amplify the goals and tenants of Project C. events to Meet with external stakeholders to understand their programs and advise on requirements for proposals being submitted• Ensure data integrity to support the full impact of support.

Qualifications• Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Political Science or related degree• Strong project management experience: ability to execute detail-oriented project management across multiple projects at same time with the ability to prioritize effectively• Flexible with team roles and amenable to pitching in as needed to meet our collective goals - willing to be a utility player and ensure the job gets done• Proven record of moving projects from concept to completion and experience with piloting ideas and scaling what works• Humble and helpful collaborator with our external partners and internal colleagues• Excellent written and verbal communications with ability to adapt style, message, and format across diverse internal and external audiences• Self-starter with the ability to drive projects independently• Experience analyzing a range of performance indicators and drive strategic decision-making and prioritization, comfortable with measurement of quantitative impact and data visualization• Strong communicator and effective at driving stakeholder engagement• Demonstrated ability to support team members on procedures, reporting and program compliance• Be entrepreneurial in ideating and collaborating to bring a fresh perspective and expertise to inspire new opportunities• Energized by working in a fast-paced, community centric culture• Experience working on corporate social responsibility initiatives to drive measurable outcomes

$94k - $110k a year

This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills.
