Position Overview

We're looking for the next member of our Experiential Programs team. In this role, you'll report to the Director of Experiential Programs and be instrumental in strategic planning and overall team operations, including experience design and planning, program strategy, and more. You'll manage meeting agendas and facilitate team discussions using techniques that ensure great ideas are surfaced and everyone is included. In addition, you'll take the lead on strategic projects that will help bring the Autodesk brand to life for customers and partners worldwide.

The Experiential Programs team is part of a broader Global Brand Experience team within Autodesk's Worldwide Marketing organization. The Global Brand Experience team delivers world-class experiences that strengthen engagement and relationships with Autodesk. This includes events that are live, digital, and hybrid-from customer briefings and Autodesk brand activations to our employee, sales, and channel conference offerings, to an array of events for customers and prospects.

Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver Autodesk University, Autodesk's flagship customer conference for global audiences with a focus on all customer types, from executives to managers and end-users
  • Inspire, direct, and collaborate with members of the Experiential Programs team and aid in their professional growth. This includes direct reports as well as influence on dotted-line collaborators who execute customer events, as well as stakeholders who leverage AU to reach our target audiences
  • Lead event strategy and program design
  • Help establish the strategy for digital, physical, and hybrid events
  • Be accountable for a multi-million-dollar program budget, including work with senior leadership on annual forecasts, budget asks, financial reporting, and ensuring compliancy with finance/legal processes
  • Liaison with executive level stakeholders to garner support of event design, initiatives, and gather feedback
  • Create and manage program management processes and protocols
  • Partner with our Global Customer Events team and procurement office for contract negotiations and managing program venues and suppliers


Minimum Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree, preferably in business or marketing; MA/MBA preferred
  • 7+ years of overall business experience with a minimum of 3 years of experience in project or program administration & management
  • Proven, successful project manager with strong leadership skills and the ability to influence others and drive decisions to closure
  • Highly experienced in meeting facilitation and assimilating team dynamics to drive effective collaboration within cross-functional teams
  • Excellent organizer who takes the initiative and can work independently to achieve goals established in a team environment
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with the ability to present to all position levels, from individual contributors to executives
  • Experience or potential to handle all tactical aspects of meetings and events including scheduling, agenda planning, facilitation techniques, identifying supporting props/materials, and managing associated technology and A/V requirements
  • Self-directed, relationship-oriented program lead, willing to take initiative, propose ideas and solution, make decisions and resolve issues
  • Detail-oriented, results-oriented and pragmatic but innovative and creative
  • A team player who works well individually and with others, willing and able to handle critique
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and you thrive in a dynamic, changing environment
