About the Center
The Center for New York City Neighborhoods, Inc. (the “Center”) is a New York not-for-profit that
promotes and protects affordable homeownership in New York State so middle- and working-class
families can build strong, thriving communities. We meet and support the diverse needs of homeowners
throughout the state by offering free services and affordable loans while advocating for systemic change
to address racist housing policies. Today we are working to close the racial wealth gap through the Black
Homeownership Project, developing new programs to respond to the climate crisis and helping New
York State to deliver nearly half a billion dollars in COVID-19 relief.
Position Summary
The Center seeks a Senior Program Manager, Operations and Administration, who will manage and
improve the efficiency of our organization’s operations, as well as oversee the Center’s day-to-day
administrative functions which include Information Technology, Office Management, and Facilities. The
successful candidate must possess strong leadership skills, superior project management skills, the
ability to multitask, and analytical and strategic thinking abilities. This role reports to the Chief of Staff.
The Senior Program Manager, Operations, and Administration will streamline Center-wide operations
and ensure that administrative functions run smoothly, allowing staff to focus on expanding
homeownership opportunities for all New Yorkers. This role will collaborate with the Chief Financial
Officer (CFO), who is responsible for strategy and contract management for the Center’s administrative
functions. This is a full-time, exempt position. This is a hybrid role intended for candidates within commuting
distance from our office.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Operations
● Develop and implement best practices, policies, standard operating procedures, guidelines, and
tools to meet operational and administrative needs across the organization.
● Collaborate with senior management to develop a long-term hybrid work approach that aligns
the diverse needs of staff with technical tools, platforms, and physical office space, in support of
our organizational culture, staff needs, and programmatic requirements.
● Liaise with senior management to implement an organizational approach to workplace
operations that incorporates the new and emerging needs of a hybrid office.
● Partner with the Chief of Staff and Senior Strategy Manager to set administrative and
operational strategic goals. Routinely evaluate the efficiency of organization-wide business
procedures and plan and implement process improvements.
● Lead the project management and implementation of operational and information technology
projects, including policies, procedures, and analysis.
● Coordinate and collaborate with department heads and program staff to achieve resolution of
pending operations issues and questions.
● Execute special projects, including developing strategies and tactics for implementation,
monitoring effectiveness, and making recommendations for improvements as required to ensure
that overall goals are achieved.
● Serve as a strategic partner to the Chief of Staff and Director of People and Culture on the
implementation of the safety program.
● Other duties as required.
Administration and Facilities
In collaboration with the Chief of Staff and CFO, oversee all office management functions as well as the
day-to-day administrative and facilities needs of staff. This includes managing an administrative team
responsible for the following:
● Procure and maintain office equipment and supplies
● Liaise with IT consultant on service tickets
● Oversee maintenance and repairs of office facilities
● Plan and manage space allotments and office equipment for current, incoming, and exiting staff
● Participate in other projects as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications
● A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
● Minimum five (5) years of organizational and operational experience
● Project management skills and a proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and
stay organized; experience using Asana as a project management tool is desired, willing to
learn is required
● Ability to communicate effectively between multiple stakeholders
● Ability to drive results in a fast-paced organization
● Significant (at least three years) staff management and supervisory responsibilities and a proven
ability to lead
● A willingness and interest to take on a variety of tasks and a “no job is too big or too small”
attitude.
● Demonstrated success in innovative leadership, project planning, and implementation,
problem-solving, judgment, and decision‐making;
● Must be proactive with a demonstrated commitment to continuous process improvement
● Ability to maintain confidentiality and impartiality
● Strong written and oral communication skills
