The Senior Program Manager, Product will support the organization, implementation and management of resources, budgets and assets for large-scale investment projects across the Product org. As a new role and craft to the Product team, this individual will have the opportunity to create processes and workflows from the ground up that are simple and functional. This individual will work closely with the Learning Research & Design (LRD) team and report to the Senior Manager, Project Management. The LRD team delivers course materials and curriculum to GA instructors which enables learners to prepare for jobs of the future and helps advance their careers.

We are looking for an individual that is highly motivated, a self-starter, an expert relationship builder and problem-solver. Operating from a mind-set of maximizing efficiencies, this role requires an individual who is able to zoom up to a 30,000 ft view across all projects and zoom down to address tactical issues seamlessly.

Candidates should have experience working with product managers, project managers, learning experience designers, subject matter experts and a wide stakeholder audience, including senior management. Strong candidates will have experience operationalizing lean and flexible staffing models to service teams in an agile environment. 


Responsibilities:

  • Confidently collaborates with in-house General Assembly product managers, instructional designers, subject matter experts, product marketers, engineers, UX designers, business stakeholders and senior leadership
  • Operationalizes a flexible and efficient staffing model that includes internal team members, external contractors, interns and subject matter experts
  • Expertly manages these alternative staffing options to maximize budgets, identifying when and how to deploy them, streamlining, contracting, sourcing and onboarding external contractors 
  • Owns the budget for subject matter experts across the Product org, identifies efficiencies and cost-savings that can be realized across teams and works with the finance team to ensure projects are on budget
  • Working in partnership with stakeholders, sets up and owns a quarterly resourcing/capacity plan and view for the LRD team and closely manages the plan throughout the year 
  • Crafts communication updates to all levels of stakeholders, understanding the value, impact and information that will best serve these stakeholders to unlock decision making and a path forward 
  • Leverages a data-driven mindset and provides options and levers for teams and leaders to consider during the decision-making process
  • Follows through on commitments and gains confidence and trust of others through consistency and accountability 
  • Works with Legal to facilitate contracts and manages SOW to ensure projects are compliant with internal GA policies 


Qualifications:

  • Track record of meeting deadlines consistently 
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills 
  • 3+ years of Program Management experience 
  • 3+ years of operations experience
  • Strong oral and written communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Acute attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in all deliverables
  • Experience working with a remote, global and distributed team and comfortable using remote tools and remote working norms 
  • Experience with managing third-party vendor relationships 
  • Experience with a lean resourcing model and a ‘surge’ type of working model
  • Models a philosophy of curiosity and trust-based conflict resolution
  • Experience working with technical teams in an agile environment
  • Experience with remote tooling such as Confluence, Jira, Asana and Trello
  • It’s an added bonus if you have experience working with an instructional design team and have a curriculum background

The anticipated annualized salary range for this position in the US market is $85,500 and $100,000. Salary will be determined based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. If hired as a regular full-time employee, this position will include a variable compensation plan which could be a bonus or a commission.

US benefit offerings for full-time employment may include medical, dental, vision, term life insurance, short-term and long-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, commuter benefits, wellness plans & reimbursement and retirement programs. Available paid leave may include paid time off, parental leave and holiday pay.
