Role Overview

The PMO NPD Project Leader & Analyst is a key contributor within the Program Management Office focused on providing support for project management. This is an exciting opportunity to lead small scale new product development projects or work streams within larger scale programs with diverse, multi-functional core teams within the NPD governance phase review process.

Responsibilities

Governance: Ensure sound governance

• Manage Phase Review Discipline specifications, forms, and templates.

• Facilitate PRD steering committee meetings to drive continuous improvement for maintaining robust and efficient processes.

• Solicit and monitor user feedback, assess process implications, and implement changes as deemed appropriate.

• Participates in the development and implementation of Program Management tools and best practices.

• Prepare and support governance metrics, process specification updates, and process improvements.

Program/Project Execution & Performance

• Deliver successful projects. Lead and manage effectively cross-functional teams to deliver specified projects or program workstreams, enabling sales targets to be achieved

• Monitor scope, budget, resource, and progress against key milestones, demonstrating that the project team & stakeholders are engaged and performing and that project risks are managed

• Oversee the project management templates ensuring all changes are controlled and communicated; work with the PM community to harness and update methodology practices from the field.

• Gather, compile, and maintain a master record of the status of program deliverables across the portfolio to establish metrics and analyses progress

• Organize monthly Phase Review Discipline Functional Committee (FC) and Executive Committee (EC) meetings. Maintain meeting calendar and cadence for project reviews. Prepare agendas and collate materials including business case, financials, presentation, etc. Document and publish meeting notes and key action items for project teams. Archive approved documents ensuring appropriate signatures are complete.

Performance Management & Reporting

• Provide relevant project/program performance management information and reports.

• Analyze and report PMO metrics. Perform data mining within various business systems for KPIs (e.g., PLM, SAP, etc.). Prepare ASD PRD scorecard including phase contract compliance, schedule accuracy and product launch achievements.

• Support resource allocation analyses for portfolio management decisions. Analysis requirements may include export of SAP, Matrix, Windchill data for advanced evaluation

Communication & Relationship Management

• Facilitate and bridge communications, connections, and relationships

• Administer PMO SharePoint site as knowledge management specialist. Create and coordinate user access and user groups. Develop and maintain PMO announcements, calendar, meeting workspaces, gate history, etc. in a timely manner. Troubleshoot issues as appropriate.

Administrative Support

• Prepares proper paperwork for check requests, office supplies, purchase orders, etc.

• Coordinates supervisor business itinerary and maintains calendar, makes appointments, and arranges travel for Manager and others as required, including flight arrangements, hotel accommodations, and related schedules. Prepares and processes necessary travel and expense (T&E Reports) paperwork/forms and routes for proper approval.

Education

Technical/Engineering degree and a minimum 4 years' experience in a technical or business area; or equivalent education/experience.

Licenses and Certifications

PMP preferred

• Computer proficiency to include database management and advanced skills in MS Office and MS SharePoint
