At CGI, we design, engineer, install, and maintain large-scale Audio/Video systems. We put our customer first, and demand only the best. We are looking for those that share our passion. We currently have an immediate opening for a Senior Project Manager.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The project manager plays a key role by planning and managing all major aspects of a project including scheduling, resource allocations and management, customer communications, and by providing creative ideas to improve all aspects of projects. Ultimately, the project manager brings an audio visual design from paper to reality. It is a highly independent position, in that we rely on our project managers to be creative, problem solvers, and to make decisions, but they are supported by the deep well of industry expertise and resources of Clair Global.

QUALIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Must have a minimum of 5-8 years of experience in a similar role.
  2. Must be available for overnight travel - short and long term.
  3. Strong communication and customer service skills.
  4. Basic understanding of audio visual and network technical requirements.
  5. Strong understanding of field installation industry best practices and means and methods including wire pull, terminations, and device installation.
  6. Strong leadership and organizational skills
  7. Rigging skills preferred, but not required.
  8. Ability to read floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, flow charts and wire diagrams
  9. Ability to think & work independently and meet necessary deadlines.
  10. Problem solving and trouble-shooting skills; creative thinking.
  11. Effective professional-level interaction with employees, customers and colleagues.

EXPERIENCE:

  1. Formal education in electronics or a related field, or substantial equal experience in audio video integration preferred
  2. 5-8 years management experience
  3. 3 years installation experience on large scale construction projects
  4. Experience with commercial audio, video, theatrical lighting or other electro-mechanical installation or field servicing
  5. CTS, Crestron, AMX, Barco, BSS, Biamp, Q-SYS certifications preferred, but not required
  6. Additional experience with projection, LED walls, rigging, or computer controls will be considered

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  1. Scheduling, managing & coordinating the labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and technical expertise to meet project requirements and CGI standards and budget.
  2. Manage the installation of all aspects of a project based on the construction drawings produced by CGI design and engineering staff.
  3. Ensure that CGI meets all contract requirements for projects assigned, leveraging CGI resources as required.
  4. Perform site meetings and inspections as required.
  5. Manage resources and logistics of all assigned projects
  6. Coordinate and approve equipment and product needs, working with CGI design and engineering staff.
  7. Effective interaction and correspondence with customers, general contractors, and critical path construction trades
  8. Conduct team meetings as required, internally and externally.
  9. Documenting and communicating all aspects of the project's progress including schedules, contract changes and logistics.
  10. Identify and manage subcontractors when necessary.
  11. Full compliance with company's and customer's safety program
  12. Ability to accurately notate field changes on drawings for incorporation into as-built set
  13. Ensure that field installation is being executed according to industry best practices and CGI quality standards.
  14. Coordinate schedules with clients, consultants, general contractors, and CGI staff to meet contract requirements.
  15. Other duties as required or assigned by company management

LOCATION - Work from a CGI office is preferred, but not necessary. We maintain offices located in Central Pennsylvania, Denver, Cleveland, Dallas, Nashville, San Diego, Orlando, Phoenix, and Valencia, CA. Remote workers will also be considered.
