Job Description
Q2 is seeking a Sr. Project Manager for our Project Services group in Implementations. Reporting to an Implementations Delivery Manager and working closely with Implementation Engineers, Solutions Architects, 3rd-Party Vendors, and Clients, this individual will engage in multiple implementation projects concurrently. Primary project focus will be in the delivery of acquisitions, core conversions, mergers, bill pay conversions, data center moves, and other complex project types.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Communicate, set, and manage expectations with all project team members and stakeholders regarding project scope, duration, internal/external deliverables and due dates
- Create project schedule/plan, maintain work order phase budgets track and report on progress, manage and archive necessary internal/external project artifacts
- Drive and encourage project team members to meet task due dates to ensure project remains on track and Forecast Billable Dates are achieved
- Work in tandem with Implementations Engineer and Dev resources to complete internal Acceptance Testing validation prior to hand off to Client
- Proactively manage risk and follow appropriate escalation processes
- Appropriately respond to unplanned requests and follow scope change control processes
- In partnership with Implementations Engineer, triage Jira & Work Order cases, assign to appropriate resource, assign priorities, post public comments to ensure Acceptance Testing SLA’s are met, and Client is kept updated on case status.
- Training/mentoring/knowledge sharing with peers, including publishing, and improving Confluence content
- Process improvement
EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in (relevant degree) and a minimum of 8+ years of related experience; or an advanced degree with + 5 years of experience; or equivalent related work experience.

Client Management Expectations:
- Working in tandem with Implementations Engineer counterpart, serve in a consultative capacity to provide Q2 and industry best practice guidanceÂ
- Primary point of contact during project
- Adhere to communication plan outlined at kickoff
- Provide clear visibility of progress towards achieving key milestones and mitigating risks
- Drive and influence stakeholders to manage scope and change control
