Job Description

As a leading insurance and financial services company focused on meeting the evolving needs of K-12 teachers and employees of other non-profit organizations, we are looking for a Senior Project Manager. This is a a remote position.

Senior-level role; operates with limited supervision or guidance

  • Manage multiple medium to large projects
  • Create and monitor project budgets and project plans
  • Identify, document and escalate issues, risks and dependencies
  • Responsible for stakeholder, steering committee and project sponsor reports and communications
  • Communicate to project sponsors and senior level management
  • Significant Product Experience across all tines of business

Responsibilities

  • Carry out procedures to ensure that all information technology solutions and services meet company standards and user requirements
  • Assist with the creation of the business case
  • Define and clarify project scope
  • Develop and monitor the project plan
  • Develop and monitor the project schedule
  • Develop and monitor budget
  • Monitor project progress
  • Determine the organizational structure of the project team
  • Identify roles and responsibilities
  • Set team direction
  • Coordinating activities across different organizational functions
  • Motivating team members
  • Assigning work and deliver results consistent with plans
  • Report and communicate effectively to project team, sponsors and management

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Ongoing education required in project/program management discipline required
  • Effective written and verbal communications in a professional manner to management, business partners, associates, and external resources
  • 4-8 years project management experience
  • Certification or course work in project management (i.e. CAPM, PMP)
