Reports to: Head of Professional Services

The Role

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for delivering and controlling technology projects for customers by managing the cost, time, and scope constraints. Ensuring the value add by the project to the customer and confirm that project objectives are accomplished. The primary duties include, creating and maintaining a project plan that communicates, internally and externally, tasks, milestone dates, status, resource allocation, and financial status.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and maintain project plans, goals, and budgets while identifying resources needed, developing schedules, and measuring results in ConnectWise; ensuring the implementation methodology is adhered to.
  • Liaise with resource managers to ensure resources are available to support the timelines within the project schedule.
  • Perform Project Resource Management: Provide work direction and leadership to assigned projects, including scheduling, assignment of work and review of project efforts. Identify project resource requirements and staff assignments, check for staff availability, update the project plan with work assignments.
  • Understand overall project objectives, as well as the role and function of each project team member.
  • Gain commitment on projects, tasks, and schedules from project teams. Commitment to continuous business and process improvement. Ensure the project objectives and requirements are clear and agreed upon by all team members
  • Organize and manage all phases of the project to ensure on-time completion with budgetary requirements. Coordinate delivery and implementation of projects that meet quality assurance standards
  • Provide Overall Project Administration: Participate in project team meetings, proactively document meeting minutes, track issues, decisions and action items, and follow-up between meetings to drive issues to closure. Design and maintain technical and project documentation
  • Ensure proactive communication between stakeholders, internal customers, and the development team. Must be able to manage a project and communicate deadlines
  • Ensuring that risks are identified, communicated, and mitigated and that projects are delivered successfully through to production
  • Manage Project Status Reporting: Prepare and communicate status reports to convey project scope, goals, milestones, risk, status, impediments, change requests, and critical issues to the customers and the project team
  • Drive problem investigation and resolution as required. Escalate project issues that cannot be completed within agreed service levels
  • Maintain specific knowledge of the customer and how our services and products relate to their business strategy and goals
  • Improve customer perception and satisfaction
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of the service catalog and how it relates to customer’s needs
  • Document internal processes and procedures related to duties and responsibilities
  • Responsible for entering time and expenses in ConnectWise as they occur
  • Understand processes in ConnectWise by completing assigned training materials and blueprints on ConnectWise University
  • Enter all work as activities, service tickets, or project tickets in ConnectWise
  • Review IT publications and online materials to remain up to date with current and future technologies emerging in the industry

  • BA/BS, preferably in Business Administration or a related field
  • MBA/MS preferred but not required
  • 5+ years of Project Management experience
  • Recommended to have Professional certifications, such as: PMP, 6 Sigma, and Scrum Master
  • Experience in managing projects for an ERP system
  • Strong organizational, presentation, and customer service skills
  • Skill in planning and preparing written communications
  • Encourage and facilitate cooperation, results-orientation, and collaboration amongst the team
  • Highly adaptable, and strong collaborator, fierce advocate, and influencer
  • Service awareness of all organization’s key services for which support is being provided
  • Understanding of support tools, techniques, and how technology is used to provide services
