The pandemic has highlighted how important telecoms networks are to society. Nokia's Network Infrastructure group is at the heart of a revolution to bring more and faster network capacity to people worldwide through our ambition, innovation, and technical expertise.

As part of the Regional Business Center, you will support US Majors Telco customers in the delivery of world class Fixed Networks, IP and Optics networks in an environment where innovation, trust and autonomy are encouraged, and customer satisfaction is key. With a vibrant and supportive team around you, as a Project Management Professional you will lead Nokia and customer stakeholders to deliver successful projects that exceed customer expectations.

What you will learn and contribute to

As the Customer Project Manager you will have responsibility to successfully manage the planning and implementation of projects, on-time, within defined scope and on budget. You'll be challenged to improve profitability while ensuring both quality and customer satisfaction. The customer facing Project Manager will proactively drive the project team and manage the customer relationship in the scope of the project. You will learn new things every day and are encouraged to share your experiences, questions and concerns openly within the team. Other attributes include:

  • In line with PMBOK and Nokia Project Management processes, manage Project Management Plans.
  • Provide verbal and writted updates to support both internal and external project reviews.
  • Anticipate and mitigate risks while evaluating related financial and customer satisfaction impacts.
  • Act as the single point of contact to the customer for all project related business activities.
  • Ensure effective project close out, including invoicing and lessons learned.

Your skills and experience

You have:

  • PMP certification or equivalent, with a BSc and at least 5 years PM experience in telecommunications field.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, customer interfacing both internal and external, leadership and management skills.
  • Strong business acumen in planning and organizing, information integration, decision-making and ability to achieve results while focusing on customer satisfaction and business success.

It would be nice if you also had:

  • Experience working in a virtual environment within a geographically diverse team
  • Knowledge and experience with Fixed, IP and Optical equipment, including Nokia's products
  • Working knowledge and experience with business support tools including Office 365, SAP, Salesforce, Sharepoint
