Senior Project Manager

About You

If you are the ideal candidate to join Nutrafol as our Senior Project Manager, leading teams of professionals through planning and delivery is second nature to you. You are passionate about Getting Stuff Done, with an eye towards continually improving delivery processes and how the teams you support execute. You also understand the value of teamness, and have led teams through developing their own ways of working, especially teams that may have not worked with a project manager in the past. You champion the value of Agile project management processes, and you use Lean principles to help your teams prioritize value over waste. You know how to say, “No”, but you’re more inclined to say, “Yes, if…”. And, you aren’t afraid to use experimentation or take calculated risks to achieve a desired result. 

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end planning and delivery for roadmapped initiatives (projects) across a business vertical within Nutrafol (Marketing, Finance, Digital Experience, etc.).

You will…

• Work with stakeholders and leadership to establish priorities, understand scope, define and refine requirements, and be a voice of reason
• Lead your project teams through planning activities, including story/task creation, backlog development, and increment planning
• Facilitate task estimation for the project teams you support and coach your teams as they grow this muscle
• Identify and socialize key milestones in the plan and align milestone dependencies with other project managers in the organization
• Identify key risks, including delivery capacity (e.g., Agile velocity) and dependencies, and develop mitigation plans for those risks
• Support delivery by leading team ceremonies, removing barriers to execution, surfacing risks to the appropriate stakeholder, and developing, supporting, and evolving your teams’ ways of working

Support and grow Delivery Culture at Nutrafol as we develop and iterate processes to optimize project and program delivery with accountability and transparency.

You will…

• Represent your portfolio of teams in weekly program and quarterly roadmap planning activities
• Work with Delivery Operations to maintain alignment of your project portfolio with program performance expectations
• Proxy the voice of the customer as we develop and iterate best practices in the delivery of value across the organization
• Join a community of practice to support consistency, reliability, and evolution of the project management function at Nutrafol
• Be a thought leader in project management best practices and governance
• Participate in the creation of a service organization dedicated to optimizing roadmap accountability, transparency, and value

Requirements

• 5-7 years experience leading multiple project teams through planning and delivery
• Demonstrated superior knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies, guided by Lean principles
• Practical experience with continuous improvement frameworks with a systems thinking approach
• Some prior experience in a centralized delivery organization (PMO), preferably in the early stages of its formation
• Passion for coaching and leading teams of professionals
• Agile Project Management certification (ex., CSM, CSPO, PMI-DASM, PMI-ACP, etc.)
• Prior experience delivering value in a DTC e-commerce environment (Preferred)
