Senior Project Manager

Company Description

AECOM is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our environmental remediation team in the Buffalo, New York office. You will work with a diverse team of technical leaders across a broad range of practice areas delivering remediation consulting services to our key clients.

Job Description

The candidate will assume leadership roles on projects within the department and will develop strong relationships with the team and clients to enable pursuit of new opportunities.

They will also have the ability to communicate effectively with member of the project team, clients, site personnel and office management, and work both independently and as part of a project team.

The successful candidate will be committed to the team's success and growth; will rigorously apply safety policies and procedures; will manage the technical, cost and schedule elements of project delivery; and will effectively manage the quality of field efforts and project deliverables within the bounds of the AECOM Quality Management System.

The responsibilities of this position include the following:

• Work Collaboratively with the NY/NJ Remediation Area Manager and other teams within the Remediation department, and professionals within other AECOM business lines.
• Act as Project Manager on projects with various levels of complexity, responsible for technical delivery, schedule management, fiscal management, client liaison, reporting requirements, and coordination with project team members.
• Coordinate and prepare written reports, work plan, and technical memorandums; analyze data and develop supported conclusions.
• Proactively identify opportunities to increase project efficiencies, improve technical methodologies and add value to client service offerings.
• Mentor junior and mid-level staff.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• BA/BS + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Valid Driver's license with a good driving record.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Geology or Science.
• 8+ Years of relevant experience at an environmental consulting engineering company.
• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPPER training certification.
• New York State Professional Engineering license.
• Seller-doer with business development and client management experience.
• Experience as a project manager and technical lead on remedial investigations, feasibility studies, remedial design, and remedial action oversight.
• Experience delivering remedial projects for the NYSDEC.
• Strong understanding of remediation system design, cost estimating, construction, and operation and maintenance.
• experience with the breadth of federal and local environmental laws such as CERCLA, RCRA, TSCA, etc.
