Senior Project Manager to join our team to manage strategic client's projects across North America out of our Houston or Baton Rouge offices. In this role, Sr. PM will function as the project single point of contact and lead ongoing multi-discipline engineering projects for an important and complex Mid-Size and Large client projects from inception through to handover to business, ensuring the delivery of engineering services within agreed time, quality and cost parameters. Also, to develop, streamline, and nurture key relationships with project stakeholders, encouraging a future-orientation and championing the values of the organization.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Act as a GHD Leader by managing the project team, performing work to industry and client standards, and operating with the highest regard toward ethical business practices.
- Deliver a focused effort to ensure deliverables meet or exceed the expectations in quality and commitments that are put forth.
- Develop time & materials and/or competitive lump sum pricing to perform engineering and project management services.
- Manage the project to ensure the schedule and budget expectations are met for both GHD and the client.
- Utilize project plans and schedules to monitor all activities.
- Manage all aspects of project delivery workflow process including conceptual planning, feasibility studies, and detailed design.
- Ensure team members are informed, have clear goals, and work collaboratively and in partnership with clients and other stakeholders to achieve planned outcomes.
- Drive project execution; track delivery; expect, monitor and control change, own change management; pro-actively seek and resolve blockers.
- Support project execution including responding to RFIs, bid request, scope of work adherence, schedule and budget tracking.
- Record information accurately and consistently using appropriate systems and provide and communicate timely information to relevant parties.
- Have "hands-on" project involvement and utilize project-reporting metrics to ensure up-to-date informed status throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct project review meetings with the client and internal design teams to discuss issues, formally communicate action items, and provide follow up to ensure accurate assessment of progress and budgetary performance.
- Capture scope deviations and promptly advise the design team and client of impact against current working agreements.
- Manage project budget and complete and review invoice drafts for accurate project accounting and billing.
- Manage projects through close out while monitoring A/R & collections activity to ensure proper posting of payments for services.
- Ensuring all safety requirements are met and the project meets or exceeds its safety targets.
What you will bring to the team (what they possess):
- Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering is preferred, or equivalent college diploma is acceptable.
- 20+ years of project management/project engineering experience supporting industrial facilities projects in chemicals, refining, and/or pipelines.
- Experience collaborating with plant engineering, operations, maintenance, and construction staff.
- Willingness and ability to make field trips to review project scopes, grasp project complexities, and gauge potential safety issues.
- Experience in delivering projects within client's site, with their project delivery processes including stage gate reviews; from inception through mechanical completion and turnover.
- Knowledge of industry practices in delivering design engineering packages, project performance benchmarking and earned value management concepts.
- Ability to work with multi-discipline design groups.
- Ability to read and understand P&ID's and other process equipment installation drawings.
- Solid understanding of various construction drawings and details required for each discipline.
- Experience in leading projects utilizing 3D CADD.
- Current and active TWIC Card is plus.
- PE and PMP Certification is considered an advantage.
