Senior Project Manager

The Analytical Solutions Division (ASD) of Applied Research Associates (ARA), Inc., has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Manager working from our Huntsville, AL facility. The potential candidate will assist the Program Manager in directing the project life cycle by assisting in development of comprehensive project plans to include both long and short-range goals and milestones.

The ideal candidate will identify, acquire, and utilize company resources to achieve project technical objectives. He/she will direct a DoD project team, monitoring and encouraging team members to complete milestones within specific budgets and schedules. This candidate will on occasion interface with external customers as well as top management for the purpose of communicating status of project throughout life cycle. Requires Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and seven to nine years of related experience.

Essential Functions:

• Proven Leadership Skills
• Excellent Communication Skills

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
• 7-9 years of related experience
• Strong communications skills, both oral and written
• Ability to obtain and maintain a minimum of a SECRET clearance from the US Department of Defense

Preferred Skills:

• A PMI PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is preferred
• Contracts, Safety, or Environmental Compliance experience
• Military or commercial quality practices such as ISO-9000 or MIL-Q-9858
• Knowledge of environmental regulations
• Active / current SECRET Clearance from the US Department of Defense
