Senior Project Manager, Finance PMO
Job Description
In this role reporting to the Director, Finance PMO within the Finance Transformation Office (FTO) you will lead large transformational initiatives including a global cloud ERP implementation for our SaaS business lines and American entities. You will help mature project management practices to drive effective, efficient, high-quality delivery that consistently meets or exceeds the expectations of the business. This highly visible position requires relationship management and collaboration at all levels of the organization, working with global teams across functions. The successful candidate must be able to determine and articulate the business objectives driving initiatives to ensure strategic alignment and successful execution. Excellent communication skills with strong experience in leading business-side activities for complex global ERP projects is essential. This is a business focused role - the individual will not be leading a technical team but will focus on accountability of business team tasks.
This position is primarily remote with the expectation to be onsite in the San Diego office for workshops and other meetings with team members. Occasional travel to other domestic and international offices may also be required.Additionally this role will require flexibility to meet with global teams in different time-zones on a regular basis.
Responsibilities
- Lead projects from idea phase through to implementation. Develop project plans / schedules and track the completion of milestones, particularly for business-focused activates. Identify critical path, surface roadblocks and find creative solutions to resolve issues.
- Partner with Business Owners to ensure clear business prioritization of requirements and promote collaborative relationships across business and IT.
- Proactively manage risks and anticipate potential issues that pose a threat to achieving project goals; propose plans to resolve issues and execute corrective actions.
- Cultivate strong stakeholder relationships and maintain effective communication channels. Ensure all stakeholders are aware of project decisions and status.
- Align program with other company initiatives and manage cross-project dependencies
- Manage through others; successfully influence cross-functional team members to achieve project goals.
- Form recommendations on project management best practices and help the maturity of our Finance Transformation Office
- Support team members and establish healthy, collaborative relationships.
- Maintain enthusiasm, energy and focus in a variety of circumstances.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required (information systems, business, finance preferred), MIS or MBA a plus
- 10+ years project and program management experience
- Experience with ERP cloud (preferable Oracle Fusion) implementations in a global environment
- Experience implementing processes and systems within Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, and Record to Report domains
- Proven ability to build and lead integrated teams from various internal and external organizations across geographies
- Business leadership of large cross-functional technology implementations with teams such as Finance, Operations, People (HR), and Sales.
- Working knowledge of business process analysis methodology and tools
- Strong understanding of Agile PM practices
- SaaS business model experience a plus
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus
