What You'll Do

  • The Technical Project Manager (TPM) is responsible for planning, leading, organizing, and motivating agile scrum teams to achieve a high level of performance and quality in the delivery of outputs that provide exceptional value to end-users and customers. 
  • The TPM may be responsible for managing several concurrent high-visibility initiatives using agile methods in a fast-paced environment that may involve multiple business units.
  • Facilitate key ceremonies of Agile Scrum Framework from start to ends such as Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective. 
  • Play a consultative role to help put in process, and tools supporting the Agile framework and coaching members of the team as needed to optimize the efficiency.
  • Act as a Servant Leader in establishing project management principles and practices with an Agile development approach to provide the right balance of business agility.
  • Work with Product Owner/Product Manager to drive and facilitate decomposition of Epic Roadmaps into Product Backlog Items (PBIs) and ready it to handoff into team-level backlogs.
  • Drive Quality and ensure the Definition of Done (DOD) is being followed; ensures each team member is fully engaged in the stories and making a meaningful contribution.
  • Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame or retribution, with an emphasis on healing and problem-solving. 
  • Facilitate getting the work done by practicing servant leadership and encourage discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution.
  • Assist in team development through holding teams accountable for their commitments, removing roadblocks to their work, and leveraging cross-functional team skills to improve product backlog throughput.
  • Become a bridge between DevOps, QA, Engineering, and Product Management Teams
  • Closely work with all stakeholders and Efficiently Manage release rollouts.
  • Implement agile governance with key ceremonies, drives continuous improvement with constant assessments of velocity (team story point throughput), defect percentage improvements, etc.
  • Assist with the team estimation/sizing exercise for both near-term and future initiatives.
  • Create reports like burn-up & burn-down charts, sprints velocity, etc. to track project progress in real-time. 
  • Assess problems/risks and develop mitigation plans to avoid impact on the project.

What You Know

  • 10+ years of experience in Agile Project management with Digital background.
  • Experience on Catalog or Item would be a plus.
  • Proven leadership and project delivery experience with global teams for a large organization with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
  • Hands-on experience as a leader with strong people skills.
  • Well-versed in the use of tools of software delivery e.g., MS OFFICE, JIRA, Confluence, etc.
  • Ability to effectively communicate specialist information in an understandable format to all stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, focusing on core scrum values of openness, honesty, and respect.
  • Willingness to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Education

  • 4-year degree (Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or relational functional field) and/or equivalent combination of education or work experience.

Compensation Band

  • $120-130k per year
