Job Summary

The purpose of this role is to lead one or more business transformation projects to continue the profitable growth of the Rentokil North America business. This individual will manage projects through all stages from Business Case to Closure.

Key Performance Indicators

The objective of this role is to successfully deliver projects to quality, balancing the following three constraints:

  • Within agreed timeline
  • To agreed scope
  • Within the agreed budget.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Work with functional Business Partners and Business Leads to produce a Business Case and/or Business Case Addendums that clearly articulate the problem(s) the project is trying to solve, the scope of the project (including what is not in scope), the measurable business benefit of the project and the cost to deliver - including any ongoing operational cost post-delivery
  • Throughout the project, this individual will be required to develop and maintain documentation, as defined by the North American Project Management Framework, to manage and report on the project(s) progress this will include , some, if not all of the below:

    • Business Case Addendums signed off by the key project stakeholders.
    • Project plan, Agile Sprint log, Test and Release plan, other project relevant planning tools.
    • Project Status Report (PSR) for reporting progress to the key stakeholders and wider business.
    • Risk log with detailed mitigation plans.
    • Capex and Opex Log of all project expenditure.
    • RACI Log
    • Other Project documentation to facilitate the successful delivery of the project(s)
  • Throughout the project, this individual will be required to lead and participate in meetings. The objective being to both drive the project(s) to successful completion and report on progress throughout. The meetings will include some, if not all of the below:

    • RTX SteerCo - Support the Project Executive Sponsor in reporting on progress.
    • Monthly Functional Steering Committees - Attend and Report to your Project Executive Sponsor progress and risks so they are prepared for the Program Board.
    • Go / NoGo - Lead meeting to obtain approval to move to the next stage of the project (such as pilot to launch) by demonstrating delivery against clear acceptance criteria.
    • Deep Dives / Stakeholder Reviews - When requested / required you will lead deep dives into the project progress and status.
    • Weekly / Daily Team Meeting - Lead Project team meetings / standups to manage the day-to-day delivery and tracking of projects.
    • North American Investment Committee - Attend investment committees to support your business lead when obtaining project funding / funding addendums.
    • All other meetings to facilitate the successful delivery of the project(s).
    • Formal close and review of projects, documenting lessons learned where appropriate.
  • This individual will also be expected to uphold IT Governance processes, where applicable, abiding by Change Control and Service Transition (Acceptance into Service) processes.

Throughout the execution of the above responsibilities, communication and Stakeholder management will be critical. The role is responsible for delivering communications that are clear, accurate and the right level for the audience.

CANDIDATE SUMMARY

Required Experience:

5 (Five)+ years Related experience

Formal Education, Qualifications or Training

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Business, Project Management or related subject

Travel Requirement

  • Travel by Car and Airplane up to 50% of the time depending on geographic location.

  • Express or exchange ideas with others through the use of spoken word, quickly, accurately, and at an easily audible volume, and receive detailed information through oral communication at usual speaking levels without correction, and/or make fine discriminations in the nature of sounds in the environment.

Incumbent is required to have:

  • Close visual acuity to perform detail-oriented activities at distances close to the eyes, as well as visual acuity to perform activities at or within arm's reach with skill, control, and accuracy, such as preparing and analyzing data, viewing computer screen and expansive reading.

Incumbent will be subject to:

  • Inside working conditions: The change of building environment such as with or without air conditioning and heating.
