Senior Project Manager, Technical

Critical Mass is hiring for an experienced Senior Technical Digital Project Manager to join our team!  As the Senior Project Manager, you are ultimately responsible for the successful delivery of solutions, working with cross-functional, multi-discipline project teams to ensure solutions are delivered to budget, scope, timeline and cost parameters.  You will plan, schedule, and control all project activities toward these objectives, applying technical, theoretical and leadership skills to satisfy project requirements, while building positive professional relationships with clients and associates.

You Will

• Develop, maintain, and effectively execute project plans throughout the life of assigned project(s) according to established procedures, channels, and success expectations
• Contribute to continual process and people management innovation, supporting effective delivery of solutions
• Establish clear project parameters supporting the success of all internal and client team members
• Understand and communicate client business needs to the internal team
• Promote high standards of professional integrity on all proposed and actual client business solutions
• Provide and promote high standards of professionalism and leadership throughout the life of projects, both within and outside the organization, appropriately representing Critical Mass’ business philosophies, protocols, and standards
• Negotiate, define, communicate, and manage the scope of the project, typically holding responsibility for authoring project SOWs
• Create and maintain a project schedule, which defines activities, sequence, dependencies, work effort, duration, and associated resource requirements
• Forecast, track and manage project budgets, POs, and invoices
• Define, negotiate, communicate, implement, and monitor quality standards on all project deliverables
• Plan and manage internal and external project communications, ensuring effective exchange of project information and deliverables
• Identify, analyze, prioritize, mitigate, and communicate project risks and issues

 You Have:

• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience leading and managing feature delivery against a global product or platform. Ideally experience will include supporting over each phase of the product delivery lifecycle from requirements capture through to post live support
• Experience in working with globally distributed cross functional teams, senior stakeholders and 3rd party vendors, each operating in different time zones
• Strong familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies, knowing when to adapt process to meet client and project needs
• Demonstrable estimation, planning and resource forecasting skills with an ability to present differing delivery scenarios with clarity and detail. You will ensure project plans consistently align to Scope, RAID and budget constraints
• Ability to concisely articulate project status to both internal and external stakeholders on a regular cadence
• Have a technical background having gained early career experience within a typical product delivery role (e.g., developer, QA, business analyst etc.) or graduated with a technical degree such as computer science
• Have familiarity with large, componentized CMS platforms such as AEM and technical architectures which require full stack (web/CSS/JS/HTML and Java) development
• Experience working with Jira, Confluence and/or other Project Management tools
• Experience working in digital agency is a strong asset
• Strong sense of creative thinking and problem solving
