Location:
Senior Project Manager/Project Manager, Operations is a remote, work from home position, as are all positions at Acceleration Partners (a structure central to our culture and our vision to change the work/life paradigm).
The Role:
As Acceleration Partners continues its growth as the biggest and best affiliate agency in the world, and as the company becomes increasingly international in nature, the complexity of the business and volume of strategic initiatives has also increased. The operations team is responsible for managing ongoing operations of the business but also serves as an internal resource for project management and managing larger internal projects with project design and documentation as well as project management support.
The operations department is seeking a Project Manager to provide project management excellence to help drive the business toward its short and long-term goals.
The Project Manager role will be varied, with responsibilities shifting based on the priorities of the business. Regardless of the activity, the primary objectives for the Project Manager would be to bring project management excellence to all projects, prioritize projects based on value and impact to the business, and to support on ongoing tasks and initiatives as needed.
Examples of activities include:
- Project management of critical initiatives including rolling out new/updated software or new processes, merger and acquisition activities, and more.
- Project managing ongoing large initiatives and developing a phase approach to ensure outcomes where needed.
- Identify and prioritize projects according to overall impact to the business.
Top 5 Job Responsibilities:
- Project Management – Lead and manage projects by defining scope, determining resources required, developing, and reviewing project schedule with internal stakeholders ensuring project team members and stakeholders are aligned on project requirements and deliverables. Follow project management best practices.
- Effective Communication – Effectively organizes various project trackers, proactively communicates regularly and clearly with project stakeholders and team members, escalates challenges and issues clearly.
- Project Management Strategy and Execution – Proactively identify ways to improve business operations to create efficiencies, automate processes, and create clarity where possible. Be willing to support with execution tactically as needed.
- Project Reporting - Collect, maintain, and track key project and operational metrics as needed. Proactively identify new valuable project metrics to ensure we are focusing on highest ROI projects for the business.
- LMA – Strong ability to Lead, Manage, and hold Accountable project owners and sponsors accountable. Ensure project ownership is assigned and clear on all projects.
Minimum Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven ability to drive projects forward, identifying roadblocks and determining how to get past them
- Able to lead, manage, and hold stakeholders at any level of the business accountable for project execution as needed
- Experience working with executive teams on projects
- Experience coordinating projects across a variety of stakeholders and departments
- Ability to pivot quickly as needs of the business change
- Experience coordinating M&A projects and large integrations
- Strong desire to learn and support on technology projects
- Superior communication and organization skills
- Ability to exercise measured judgement by flagging issues, making decisions where necessary and prioritizing effectively
- 3 – 5 years of project management experience
- 1+ years of Smartsheet experience (preferred)
- Microsoft Office experience
- Basic analytics skills and comfort with excel
What Success Looks Like:
By 3 Months… you will have learned several operations processes and systems and are able to take action on them operationally with limited guidance. You are supporting multiple projects using project management best practices.
By 6 Months… You are comfortable creating project materials including charters and trackers and are able to coordinate large group of stakeholders, hold people accountable to tasks, and escalate flags when necessary.

- Are able to effectively prioritize projects by asking the right questions and truly understanding the impact to the business
- Are able to create clarity on ambiguous projects by defining ownership, deliverables, outcomes, and timelines, and holding people accountable to those
- Have a strong internal motivation to get the job done and with a high bar for excellence and resilience in difficult situations
- Have confidence and poise in meetings and are able to hold people accountable for assigned tasks
- Are able to keep both the strategic and the tactical in mind at the same time
- Enjoy thinking strategically and bringing creative solutions to problems
- Possess mature and measured judgment, and the ability to solve problems on your own
- Have incredible organization and time management skills and are capable of coordinating several projects at once, often with contending objectives
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, Smartsheet skills (or willingness to learn) and have a strong attention to detail
- Display accountability, always meeting deadlines and keeping commitments
- Know how to collaborate with team members in a remote environment while also working independently with minimal supervision.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy bringing order to chaos
- Can adapt and shift readily and quickly to changing situations
Level:
This is an exempt position starting at a Manager, or Senior Manager level depending on experience and reporting to the VP of Operations.
