Job description

This job is located in Austin, TX.* Essential Duties and Responsibilities(other duties may be assigned): • Responsible for preparing accurate and timely financial statements for multiple properties including explanation of variances from the budget • Reviews monthly financial statements prepared by property accountants • Supervises property accountants • Understand revenue recognition, accrued expense, and other procedures or guidelines established for maintaining supporting schedules to the financial statements • Print reports and prepare schedules necessary for annual audit • Prepare and reconcile monthly journal entries to the General Ledger • Reconcile bank statements • Prepare miscellaneous reports for internal and external use • Prepare management fee calculations for third party contracts • Review management fee calculations for third party contracts • Prepare quarterly debt compliance • Attend Property Operations meetings • Special projects as assigned Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Skills, Knowledge & ExpertiseEducation/Experience/Abilities: • Bachelor's degree • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Strong organizational, interpersonal, analytical, leadership and presentation skills with the ability to handle multiple, high priority projects with a keen attention to detail • A motivated self-starter, strong problem solver • A working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Procedures (GAAP) Computer Skills:To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MS Office applications including Excel and Outlook. MRI experience is a plus.
