Join us and start your extraordinary journey today. Position Summary: The Position:The Senior Property Accountant will be responsible for supporting accounting and financial reporting for RPM. This role will be responsible for financial reporting, cash management and the general ledger for a portfolio of properties.Responsibilities: β€’ Prepare monthly financial information in accordance with deadlines/requirements while adhering to accounting policies and procedures and maintaining effective internal controls β€’ Prepare financials for multiple clients with different reporting requirements β€’ Effectively communicate and collaborate with clients and property management in a timely manner while providing exceptional customer service β€’ Requires the use of detailed technical accounting skills to assess appropriateness of accounting treatment β€’ Requires cash flow management to pay the property expenses and to predict the need for funding β€’ Records journal entries & accruals, reconciles income, and documents prepaid rent in industry specific software β€’ Reconcile all balance sheet accounts monthly β€’ Perform bank reconciliations as appropriate β€’ Perform cash disbursement through wires and checks, prepares invoicing and inter-company collections, and maintains a daily cash balance β€’ Act as a mentor to help train new or less experienced accounting staff β€’ Participate in the preparation & maintenance of written policies & procedures for functions/duties performed β€’ Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by Supervisor or Executive TeamQualifications: Education & Experience: β€’ Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience β€’ 2+ Years of Property Management Experience Preferred or equivalent β€’ Preferred Industry Specific Software: Yardi, MRI, and/or RealPage/Onesite β€’ Microsoft Office Physical Requirements: β€’ May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time β€’ Must be able to read documents, computer screens and data β€’ Must be able to hear and understand verbal communications in person and over the phone or computer β€’ May occasionally be required to lift or carry items such as files or office supplies weighing up to 15 pounds β€’ Must be able to operate a computer, keyboard, mouse and other office equipment Work Environment: β€’ This is a hybrid role, requiring the associate to work in one of our corporate or regional offices 4 days per week β€’ The office is an open setting which may include bright lights, constant noises and distractionsCompany Information: Join RPM Living and experience exceptional benefits designed to enhance your life. β€’ Weekly pay for all associates working onsite at an apartment community β€’ Comprehensive healthcare coverage available for all full-time, regular associates β€’ Employer-paid employee assistance, mental health, and wellness programs β€’ Ancillary benefits including critical illness, hospital indemnity, and accident insurance β€’ 401(k) with robust company match β€’ Opportunities for professional development, career growth, and role-based learning plans β€’ Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) and multiple Employee Resource Groups (ERG) β€’ Paid time off plus floating holidays and volunteer days β€’ Discounted Perks (Costco membership, movie tickets, health & wellness, entertainment & travel discounts) Employment with RPM Living is contingent upon successful completion of a background check as local and federal state requires, and possession of a valid driver's license.
