Senior Propulsion Engineer

Opportunity: Our client is looking for a Lead Propulsion Engineer who will be responsible for the build, test and launch of our liquid rocket engines.

Requirements: You have 3+ years of experience as a Propulsion Engineer developing rocket engines

Requirements

Core responsibilities

• Mechanical analysis on engine components and systems to ensure they meet performance standards
• Design engine components (routing and packaging of plumbing)
• Collaborate with manufacturing team to perform engine integration
• Root cause analysis on engine performance

Required

• B.S. in mechanical or aerospace engineering
• 3+ years of experience developing rocket engines
• Experience with Siemens NX (Unigraphics)
• Experience with full life cycle engineering (cradle to grave)

Ideal candidate

• M.S. in relevant engineering discipline
• Experience with ANSYS, Fluent or other CFD packages
• Experience with turbomachinery design and testing (CFD, stress analysis, LCF, HCF, aero/hydro)
• Experience with design for manufacturing (turbomachinery manufacturing)
• Knowledge of thermodynamics, thermochemistry mechanics, compressible and incompressible flow
