Senior Prototype Build Engineer

As a Senior Prototype Build Engineer on the Atlas team, you will work alongside Mechanical and Electrical Engineers and Technicians to facilitate hardware R&D prototype development and ensure timeliness and quality of the system integration. You will thrive in this role if you have a solid foundation in prototype build/assembly, strong coordination and planning skills, and enjoy collaborating with a team. How you will make an impact:

• Work with the engineering team, technicians and project management to create detailed plans for assembly operations to meet tight deadlines
• Direct day-to day build operations according to established schedule
• Plan and setup inventory space, track and manage inventory
• Track and lead resolution to build issues
• Facilitate weekly/daily build standups
• Assist with purchasing of standard components, shop supplies and equipment

We are looking for:

• 5+ years of professional experience with fabrication
• Experience coordinating / managing prototype build projects
• Demonstrated experience with leading teams
• Experience with interpretation of CAD data and drawings
• Ability to be flexible, adaptable and multitask, including the ability to balance multiple, urgent requests
• Strong coordination and planning skills
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or similar is a plus.
