Senior Public Relations Specialist

Position Purpose: This position is crucial to the PR team as it will provide the leadership team with the necessary public relations support it needs. This person will support and implement PR strategy across all platforms, build relationships with key reporters relative to the healthcare industry, develop workflows, templates and guideline documents as needed for campaigns, partnerships and public relations initiatives, among many other important tasks. This person will not have direct reports and will report to Sr. Manager of PR.

Develop and manage communications initiatives involving news releases, blogs, fact sheets, media monitoring, interviews and pitching .

Support and implement PR strategy across all platforms, with a strong focus on measurable KPIs to lead coverage reporting and asset distribution .

Build relationships with key reporters relative to the healthcare industry to help secure media coverage.

Develop workflows, templates and guideline documents as needed for Mcampaigns, partnerships and public relations initiatives. Including updating and maintaining the news center.

Lead project management for member testimonials

Overseeing media outreach and preparing leadership/spokespersons through the development of briefing documents, speeches, talking points, Q&As, etc.

Assist in the development of strategies to increase engagement and reach.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, or related field. 5+ years of media relations, public relations, or communications experience. Experience in Media Training. Experience working in a managed care, insurance, or healthcare environment preferred.
