Senior Python Developer - Data Platform

This is a remote permanent position for those based in Italy.

Nearform a global tech consultancy that specializes in building & designing digital products for enterprises is actively hiring for a Senior Developer. You’ll develop a platform for a top Fintech project while collaborating with talented engineers providing expert guidance and shaping the future of financial technology with client teams. When you're not working on client-client projects you'll have the opportunity to contribute to our renowned open-source software sharing your expertise with the wider tech community.

As a Senior Developer you will be responsible for:

• Designing and building a data platform for a top Fintech project.

• Defining and implementing data pipelines using Python.

• Writing code and scripts to consume various vendor APIs.

• Transforming and moving data across different platforms using appropriate tools and technologies.

• Ensuring data quality security and compliance with relevant regulations.

• Utilizing React or React Native to build user interfaces or GraphQL services in Node.js.

• Collaborating closely with client teams to understand their needs and deliver successful solutions.

• Staying current with best practices and trends in data architecture for financial services.

• Demonstrating strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

• Being a self-starter with the ability to take initiative and ownership of complex tasks.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of experience developing software applications with Python and Java.

• React or React Native experience to build user interfaces or GraphQL services in Node.js

• Expert understanding of data architecture and design principles.

• Proven experience building and managing data pipelines with Python and Java.

• Experience with AWS cloud services including S3 RDS and API Gateway.

• Strong knowledge of NoSQL databases like Mongo Atlas.

• Experience with consuming and processing data from various APIs.

• Familiarity with real-time and historical data analysis techniques for financial data.

• Solid understanding of Fintech jargon and regulations.

• Ability to write clean efficient and well-documented code.

• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.

• Ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Desirable Skills

• Experience with open-source software contribution.

• Experience with DevOps practices and tools.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
