Job Description
The Sr. QA Analyst is responsible for coordinating and managing all quality and testing efforts supporting IT's projects and day to day initiatives. This includes development of test strategies, schedules, and plans and oversight and lead of applicable test execution efforts. Incumbent will work with business stakeholders, IT partners and vendors to develop and monitor quality metrics and all validation/testing efforts. They will ensure test activities meet business requirements, design specifications, and are within defined quality limits and standards. The Sr. QA Analyst will be hands on and may perform tasks such as analysis, planning, strategizing, relationship building, test construction and execution. They will provide mentorship, guidance and instruction to QA analysts and other members of the team around QA best practices, methodology and standards as well as perform periodic audits to ensure that work is consistent, standardized, and adequate test case coverage is provided.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree required. Four (4) years relevant experience may be substituted for degree.
- Certification through the International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) at the foundation level (CTFL) or above preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of Test Maturity Model Integration (TMMi) preferred.
- Minimum five (5) years of overall QA and software testing experience in complex applications with an understanding of functional, integration, system, and regression testing required.
- Minimum three (3) years' experience in healthcare insurance programs and processes with a focus on clinical processes such as Pharmacy Benefit Manager, HEDIS and Member Health is required.
- Three (3) years' experience with test management tools - QTest (preferred) or others.
- Experience facilitating user acceptance testing preferred.
- Excellent organizational, planning, problem solving and decision making skills including experience required.
- Demonstrated excellent verbal, written communication & presentation skills are required.
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate joint application development (JAD) sessions is preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of software quality assurance principles, practices and metrics required.
- Demonstrated ability in writing SQL queries (both in Oracle and SQL Server).
