General Motors Israel (Herzliya) takes a significant part in shaping the autonomous vehicle. We impact future vehicles in diverse fields by developing cutting-edge technologies. Within GM Israel, over 850 people work in a hybrid flexible mode on one of the most exciting challenges of our days.
About The Group
GMVA is a new team (growing fast!) responsible for developing a deeply integrated vehicle virtual assistant for millions of GM production cars.
Our target is enabling users to perform any action they want just by talking to the car.
Our solution is platform-oriented, aimed to be used in further environments (not just the car) and it involves utilizing advanced AI algorithms (ML/DL) and modern language models (NLP, NLU, LLM).
What Will You Do?

• Design and implement automation test framework from scratch (Backend & Android).
• Determine infrastructure requirements for each project; design and build additional infrastructure as needed, to increase capabilities.
• Develop and maintain complex automated tests.
• Root cause analysis to identify and fix issues in tooling and processes.
• Communicate with stakeholders to understand and clarify software requirements.
• Work closely with product development and testing teams to ensure timely delivery of the project.
• Frequent work with teams in the US (EST time).

Additional Description
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

• BS.c in computer science or parallel degree
• Over 5 years of Automation Development experience
• Professional experience developing complex test automation software
• Proven programming experience in Python
• Experience with Android Apps UI test automation (Python, Appium)
• Understanding of software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes and testing
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities and tight deadlines
• Fast learner with excellent analytic skills

What Can Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)

• ISTQB certification or other relevant testing certifications
• Familiarity with Android Automotive
• Knowledge of tools such as Jira, GitHub
