About the team

GBG’s greenID is a world-leading software-as-a-service product providing identification services to financial institutions, telecommunications providers and other businesses where customer identification is essential. This excellent opportunity will have you working on the greenID on-line identity product which is used by many of Australia and New Zealand’s most progressive businesses

The role

Reporting into the Software Delivery Manager, the candidate will be responsible for ensuring quality by owning design of test cases, test strategy as well as undertaking thorough manual and automated testing activities as part of an Agile development team

What you will do

As part of Agile development teams:

• Create thorough test scenarios and test cases based on agreed acceptance criteria
• Provide advice, especially to the Business Analyst, on any gaps in, or issues with, the acceptance criteria from a testing perspective
• Undertake manual testing activities, document your test results and create clear and understandable defect reports (using Jira and Xray)
• Create and execute automated test scripts and contribute to the maintenance of automated test suites
• Assist with the creation, management and execution of test plans for larger feature development activities where needed
• Actively contribute to Agile team ceremonies, working to ensure they provide input and value to the team
• Actively contribute to quality assurance improvements and initiatives
• Provide guidance on QA processes, product knowledge as well as test automation knowledge to the Agile team
• Review test automation scripts, as well as monitoring failed test cases and maintain its correctness and efficiency

Technical Skills

• Qualification in an IT related discipline.
• Considerable experience in manual testing of web-based and API-based software solutions
• Experience in automated testing for web-based and API-based software solutions
• Experience working in an Agile environment and participating in related ceremonies
• Solid experience in analysing acceptance criteria and creating a thorough and targeted suite of relevant test cases
• Good understanding of testing documents, test life cycle within Agile teams and defect tracking/management
• Good technical and business requirement analysis skills
• Knowledge of Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD) would be advantageous
• Knowledge of these automated testing tools and technologies would be advantageous: Java, Cucumber, Selenium, Jenkins, SOAP UI, Postman
