Responsibilities

We are looking for a Automation Quality Assurance Engineer with strong JAVA background and Analytical Skills who has been regarded as a key contributor to medium/large projects and will:• become a part of the production team and will be responsible for creation/review/extension of system, component and unit tests• be responsible for exploratory testing on an application• maintenance and development of the existing and new applications and services• be passionate about modern development technologies and techniques; you will believe strongly in the benefits of test-driven development, automated testing and continuous integration• understand and apply good software engineering principles and be able to work collaboratively with others to implement the best solutions.• co-ordinate and participate in major releases, and has supported critical production defects.• collaborate with other team members, institute technical excellence and deliver benefits to the business within budget• write functional/automated tests using open source frameworks like FitNesse, Selenium, Spock, Cucumber.• analyze, evaluate and re-design business flows and processes• Elicit and document low-level requirements by creating EPICs, Features and User Stories using techniques like Specification by Example• Create documentation including BRD and FRD catering to multiple audiences and stakeholders• Support with some lightweight project management tasks

Skills

Must have

• Minimum of 5 years' overall experience in IT, which include automation software development (development, testing, documentation)• Experience in IB/capital markets• Backend Java testing experience (JBehave, Cucumber, FitNesse)• Technical skills of advanced SQLs• Java Development skills in J2SE/J2EE applications• DB skills with moderate to complex database knowledge (preferably Oracle DB skills)• Knowledge on messaging middleware like IBM Websphere MQ, TIBCO EMS, and Kafka• Scripting knowledge is desirable (Perl, Python, Unix Shell scripting)• Good Linux/Unix skills• Working experience within a similar function in a large, distributed environment, with a strong understanding of and enthusiasm for technical concepts and security threats• An excellent communicator across the diverse spectrum of colleagues, sponsors, and teams with the ability to adapt your communication to the specific audience you are delivering to• Interested in data analysis and data analysis techniques and tools• Keen to work with a relatively small and dedicated team of professionals, taking joint responsibility for our deliverables

Nice to have

• Experience (min 2 years) in Agile methodology and working with a SCRUM team• Experience working on Cloud technologies, Microservices, load and performance testing
