Yield Guild Games is seeking a Sr. QA Engineer. Reporting to the Head of Engineering, this role will partner closely with the growth, product, & engineering team. 

Responsibilities:

• Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, encompassing all stages from requirements analysis to test planning, execution, defect tracking, through to product delivery and maintenance.
• Rapidly identifying, characterizing, and triaging reported bugs with Engineering
• Executing regression tests and exploratory tests of the features under development
• Creating test plans and improving processes for continually monitoring quality
• Specifying and contributing to the automation of the test scenarios that span different functional modules of the system
• Set up and manage testing environments (incorporating Node.js, Docker, local blockchain, etc.). 
• Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and cases. Perform extensive testing, including black-box, white-box, security, automated scripts, performance, on multiple platforms such as Web, Windows, and Mobile OS.
• Stay ahead with the latest technology trends, persistently enhancing the team's testing process, methodologies, and efficiency.
• Work closely with fellow software engineers, product managers, user experience designers, and operation engineers, contributing insights and feedback on design optimization, and system implementation.

Requirements and Preferred Experience:

• Possess a Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or relevant fields.
• 6+ years of industry experience in Quality Assurance/Software Engineering and preferably startup experience
• An interest in the Web3 and Cryptocurrency space is required 
• Deep experience in mobile web and desktop web testing
• A detailed eye for aesthetics
• Proficient in conducting root cause analysis to identify and address underlying issues impacting software quality
• Capable of writing scripts in bash, node.js and contributing to the automated test scenarios in TypeScript and JavaScript
• Competence in designing and executing comprehensive testing plans for intricate projects.
• Experienced with Agile methodologies (BDD) and tools (Asana, Jira, Zephyr)
• Experienced with CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins (Infrastructure as a code)
• Good data querying and analytical skills
• Demonstrate good logical thinking and seamless team communication skills
• Strong expertise in test automation tools and frameworks, such as Playwright, Cypress, Appium, Selenium or similar tools is preferred.
• Passionate about participating in all stages of the development lifecycle
• Bias-to-action, you’re not afraid of complex challenges and of driving the quality of a rapidly changing system
• Practical experience with Linux / Unix operating systems, shell scripting, and virtual environments.
• Strong communication skills, comfortable working with teams from diverse backgrounds
